A young Under-18 side - including five debutants - made sure our title-winning season ended with a win at Birmingham City on Saturday.

Ajet Shehu opened the scoring in his first start of the campaign before two of the young debutants, Paul McBride and Alex Pritchard, combined for Pritchard to secure the 2-0 win.

The result means the lads win Group B of the Premier Academy League by four points from Leicester City, winning 19 of 28 games and losing just twice.

McBride and Pritchard were joined by Zane Francis-Angol, Olumide Durajaiye and Jessie Waller-Lassen in making their first appearances at Under-18 level in the PAL.

Meanwhile, there were first starts for Mirko Ranieri, Chace O'Neill and Tom Carroll.

    We'll have more later...

    Spurs U18s: Ranieri, O'Neill (McBride, 70), Francis-Angol, Nicholson, Durajaiye, Shehu, Waller-Lassen (M'poku, 46), Ekim, Kane, Carroll (Pritchard, 80), Fredericks.
    Unused sub: Butler.

Thank god for some positive news. This is the best Spurs news of the weekend, even beating the Spammers loss to the Scousers.

    Our academy RULES!

*Generic comment about hoping that we can produce a Golden Generation similar to Man U's in the 90s*

Chace O'Neill. Awesome name. Sounds like the lead character in a David Baldacci novel.
