I sometimes wonder if people on this forum watch football beside Spurs (well, sometimes I even wonder that! :lol, and I think this thread has proved a lot of my suspicions correct...

Yeah I hate it when people who aren't experts have an opinion.

Schwartzer and Hangeland have been outstanding for Fulham. Vidic yes had a couple of bad games but has been Mr Reliable 99% of the time.

I don't think Evra has been anything special, neither has Cashley Cole so I can't see beyond Benny at LB who has been as consistent as they come.

Lennon only in there because he has been a consistent theat, even in the big games. All other contenders have had some very dry spells and often go missing against the big boys.

Gerrard and Lamps was tough one, Cahill and Alonso very close.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, I'm not knocking that, it's just when people come out with crap like 'Fletcher's shit he's not even Man United's first choice' when he quite obviously has been this season, and has preformed well, and received glowing reviews from pretty much everywhere and anyone... if they want to say 'Although he's played a lot of games for United, I feel he's over-rated because of XXX, XXX and XXX, and he's going to have a job getting into the side when Hargreaves is back' or something like that, I'll disagree with it, but fine!

Scholes is even better than Fletcher

Mate, Scholes is one of the best players to kick a ball in my opinion but he's hardly played this season and Fletcher has ben preferred in the big games. This is why I've picked him, he has been brilliant and a key man for United this season - more of a key man than Scholes has been.

i just think its abit of a strang decision to put him in ur first eleven
When theres players like Fabregas, Essien, Barry, all getting around the league (Stevies G is easily the best)

Champions League:

Scholes - 5 apps 3 starts
Fletcher - 8 apps 8 starts

Sorry but Fabregas was out for half a year and Arsenal are not pulling up trees. Essien has been out for the whole season bar what? 2 months. Barry has done well, but not Champions League well.

Fact is you've almost proven my point about Fletcher, Scholes is the better player, but Fletcher is consistently keeping him out of the team with top class performances.

He is an ugly scottish kid with no tricks, but he is a damn fine DM, and he is only 25.

I agree with what's been said about Fletcher....but Lampard has still been better for my money. Going to have to think long and hard about this....
