Mine has to be this. The worlds biggest **** has a penalty kick to win the biggest club competition on earth. The one competition that his team (The ****iest club in history) are desperate to win. As he shoots, he slips, therefore missing the penalty. United then go on to win the penalty shoot out.

Well it does involve an Arse player, but is still my favorite goal

Nayim scoring from the halfway line as an individual moment, just ahead of Yeboah's two crossbar crashing corkers. Why does a goal look better when it goes in off the woodwork?

The Liverpool Newcastle games in the mid 90's were 5 star classics

Quite a few but a couple stand out. The equaliser by Eto'o (I fink) in the Goons CL final and the last gasp Iniesta goal against chelsea a couple of yrs back.

AC Milan 4-0 Barcelona, CL final 1994, great performance by weakened Milan against a strong Barca side featuring Romario, Stoichkov, Nadal, Koeman, Guardiola. One of the great team performances imo. I was a Milan fan back then.

RVN missing the penalty against Arsenal, and all those scummy Gooners surrounding him afterwards.

EDIT: Fuck it, someone else can post the link. :p

Being half Italian, the 2006 world cup springs to mind. While the final was certainly a memorable occasion, for the Zidane sending off if nothing else the game was pretty dull. The semi-final on the other hand was arguably the best game in the tournament.

for 119 minutes the game was evenly poised, with Italy squandering a few key chances. It seemed destined for a penalty shootout until this happened

PS. How do you add youtube videos now? oh!

My favorite memory of a match I attended was Euro 2000, France vs. Czech Republic in the group stages where I got to see Nedved vs Zidane when they were both in their prime. It was a great match. The fact that it happened in Brugges, didn't hurt. And I remember seeing a queue of Czech's lining up for beer and deciding to get one too, thinking the Czech's know their beer. Turned out both they and myself hadn't caught on that UEFA wasn't allowing alcohol in the stadiums. That was expensive non-alcoholic beer.

Probably the England win over Holland in Euro 96 - especially Teddy's sweet little side foot pass to Shearer to set him up to hammer in our third goal.

Stuart Pearce after converting the infamous penalty, made so proud to be English. He showed true passion and pride!

As he walked up to take that kick I said to my son, "If there is a God he'll make him fall on his arse and miss". I could not believe it when it actually happened. I feel proud that I'm kind of responsible for this great footballing moment. :D

Nayim from the halfway line, nothing can really beat that.

He loved Spurs and the fans. Arsenal fans booed him and sang shit about him for 120 minutes in the UEFA Cup Final and he lobs Seaman from 50 yards in the last kick of the game.

Gooners go home crying, Spurs fans pissing themselves

Thinking about it my favourite football memory must be the winning goal I scored in the school inter-house cup final when I was seven or eight. It was a goal of beauty - it was a goalmouth scramble which saw just about every player on the pitch take a shot, or make a block on the line before I finally shouted out "mine". To my great delight everyone else just stopped and watched while I wellied it in from two yards out. It doesn't get much better than that :) .

Yellow card for ungentlemanly conduct! :p
