Winks is a better holding player than Dier or Wanyama. We need somebody who can get about the pitch. Winks will help us beat their press as well.

If Dier plays he will get booked stopping a counter in the first 30 minutes and will be pretty much a hindrance from that point on.

If Wanyama plays they will just set a pressing trap and will probably score from it. The same with Dier. If not Winks then we should have Sissoko playing a more disciplined role although it isn't ideal.
Winks + Eriksen (OP's suggestion) is an unlikely combo. It's also optimistic to think Winks will be both match fit and in form. Sissoko has to play!
I wouldn't mind seeing Eriksen alongside Sissoko, with Son, Alli, Moura and playing behind Kane.

Dier has to play in midfield if Winks isn’t fit. For me if Sanchez is fit he plays also. We can’t afford to have Trippier anyway near Liverpools front three . We might have to play Sissoko right back. If Harry Kane’s fit he plays 100%, don’t want to hear crap about us being better without Kane.

Criminal that we sold Dembele. A midfield duo of Sissoko and Dembele would have been miles better than the Sissoko and Wanyama/Dier combo we're likely to see.

Why are we so defensively weak anyone? It's the same team that's regularly had one of the best defenses in the league previous

Zero protection in front of them, there's Sissoko & nothing else. (But constant changes to the defence surely can't help either).

This Sissoko at RB chat simply has to stop. I'm not being a dick, I understand the logic behind your thinking BUT he's literally our midfield. Take him out & you get what we had last Tuesday before Vertonghens injury enforced his introduction, resulting in the sudden jump in effort & energy in everyone else.

The video that was played after the City game, when he had to go off because of injury & all the players came into the changing room singing his name. He's literally the fucking life-blood of this team, the adrenaline that drags it over the finish line each & every time he's on the pitch, and he does it from the fucking engine room, smack bang in the middle of fucking everything, making shit happen.

If you want to put that at RB, I'll respect your opinion. No matter how fucking wrong it is.

Wanyama crocked

Dier regressed

Frequent changes to formation

Less intensity in closing down from front

Walker gone

Can someone , better placed than little old me who just lurks in the background for most of the time , please start the Champions League Final Match Thread. It should have been done as soon as we won yesterday ?

As for my team for it ..... I love them all COYS

I would play both Son and Moura and tell them to press the full backs at every opportunity. Alexander Arnold and Robertson are probably the two most creative players in Liverpools squad. Force them back and it really hurts Liverpools attacking play. Moura and Son both have the pace and tenacity to press and punnish them when they inevitably bomb forwards.

id drop Dele, (assuming Kane and Winks fit enough to start) only bc his hamstrings still look fucked to me and could snap at any moment.

I reckon we should try and sign Sergio Ramos for a laugh even though he won't he won't be eligible. Just to wind them up more.

Harry Kane plays in the final if fit, it’s as simple as that. You don’t leave out the worlds best striker and the heart beat of the club in the CL final if he’s fit. I would have the same team as Ajax, but swap Wanyama for Harry Kane.

Lloris
Aurier Toby Verts Rose
Sissoko Wanyama
Moura Alli Eriksen
Son

Kane to provide spark off the bench, no way will he be fit enough to start against 2 strong centrebacks.
Son is so much better leading the line, running into channels left by their attacking full backs.
If Aurier plays against Everton I would play him in this, otherwise its Trippier.
