It is a conundrum, but something has to give.
I guess it depends on who's in the best shape to start, and if Winks and kane are good to go you might find it's Lucas on the bench - that's my hunch, but I definitely start him.

Dele and Son will definitely start though. Just look how involved these two were in our goals against City. And Dele's pass to Lucas etc against Ajax.

They'll both start, 100 per cent on that.

Arguably Moura was more involved than dele for the goals vs City, especially the second, it was his driving runs but what I will say is, although I'd be gutted for Moura if he didn't start, he would be fucking incredible off the bench.

Yeah, both involved in the build up. Dele heavily involved in Lucas's first goal against Ajax as well, not just the pass for the killer goal.

Anyone thinking Dele won't start are way off the mark IMO.

He'll 100 per cent start. He's got the tempermant for a game of this magnitude, more than most in our squad.

As much as I'd love the ambition of starting all of Dele, Son, Lucas and Kane with Eriksen in the middle partnering Sissoko, it's just a bit too Ossie, Liverpool would pick us up.

I think it has to be Winks with Sissoko. That's the most likely midfield to manoeuvre around what is likely a fairly unimaginative, but very athletic, midfield of Henderson, Fabinho and Wijnaldum.

One of Dele, Son or Lucas has to miss out.

Yeah no question Dele will start 100% It's Moura/Son/Winks and arguably Kane depending on fitness which are the question marks, if Kane is fit, he'll start too.

Don't necessarily agree because I think Eriksen can work hard enough with the physical prowess of Sissoko supporting him.

Also I'd expect Dele to drop back and muck in, maybe even pick up one of their CM3.

I always think we play better against Liverpool when we're aggressive and on the front foot, taking the game to them. Basically attacking them with pace.

The minute we sit back and try to contain them for large spells the inevitable happens and we get sloppy defensively and concede.

I say go for it. Pick an attacking side, which is obviously willing to work like mad.

You can’t exactly say a front 6 of Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane lacks pace, aggression or attacking intent. Plus, whichever is on the bench of Dele, Lucas of Son makes for a bloody good game changing option should we require.

I don't. But Son and Dele for me a are definite starters. I'd also start Lucas.

Had Winks been playing regularly towards the end of the season I'd of started him, but he hasn't... Long time out to be thrown into the engine room in our biggest game of the season.

But only Poch knows these answers.

Thank fuck we're debating who starts from a fully fit squad now and not trying to decide who partners Foyth at CB between Paul Coyte and Chirpy.

Could have been a lot worse when you consider who was missing for the Everton game.

Kane has to start, don't care he was born for this game.

Watching vids, his goals from all ranges will be the difference and his passing.

I remember this game. Lovren was torn apart that day. Liverpool has come a long way since and improved, but on a good day, we're able to give them a good fight

Lloris

Trippier Toby Jan Rose
All Sissoko
Eriksen Moura Son
Kane

For me Lucas has to start.
We need Sissoko and Wanyama in the midfield to cope with Liverpool.
The players who have been consistently below par are Eriksen and Alli, with Alli coming good last game.
Winks has been out the whole time, probably best on the bench. So we should play:
Lloris
Trippier Toby Verts Rose
Sissoko Wanyama
Lucas Alli Son
Kane
Or Kane behind Lucas and Son if not fully fit. Lucas and Son tracking back. Eriksen off the bench once one of them tires.

Wanyama is way, way to slow (currently at least) to play in midfield against Liverpool.

If Winks is FULLY fit, sure he's worth the risk, but whoever must sit and not go wondering up the pitch. They will counter and we will need bodies to slow them down and make tackles.
