AFC Wimbledon.

I developed a soft spot for them after the Milton Keynes debacle and have been following their progress avidly since their inception. They've been working their way up the pyramid and are playing in the Blue Square Premier (ambitious name for a non-league division IMO) this season.

My local team are playing your lot tomorrow, strangely enough!

I would go if it was a weekend match. Don't fancy the hour journey there and back on a week night though.

Great stuff lads, glad to see so many have a soft spot for their local non league team.

I must admit i keep a keen eye on AFC Wimbledon & FC United just to see how they are progressing. Formed for different reasons but i wish them both success.

Many top flight clubs used to scout the non league to pick up a gem. To think we got Graham Roberts from Weymouth and he went on to lift the UEFA Cup!!

This great site is for Spurs fans who come from all over the world to chat about Spurs. But I'm more than sure many of you on here will have a Non-League team that you also have a soft spot for.:)

After moving south of the border after hitching up with her indoors, i found myself surrounded with many a non league team. I watched them all before deciding which team to follow. Welling United being only ten minutes walk away are the nearest, trouble is they play in red and i just can't bring myself to follow ANY team that plays in that colour.:)

So i settled on Dartford who play in the Ryman Premier League, they play at Princes Park and in fact my first game there was a pre season friendly a couple of years ago when a Spurs 11 were the visitors. I was very impressed with there brand new stadium and the general set up there.

So i have grown to love the non league game, with the added bonus of once again standing on the terraces. Here's a vid of Dartford in action last season.

So what non league team do you lads follow?

I played against Dartford two seasons ago :)

You may remember, it was against Waltham Forest where you had 14 mins injury time and scored a penalty late on

nope lol , waltham forest had major upheaval resulting in a new team being brought in. Dartford seem on the up since then though :)
Shame about the changes brought in mate, as there is nothing like playing the game.

Dartford are indeed on the up, and the new stadium has been the key to that. 14 years in excile then returning home to a great new facility has worked wonders. And with crowds many a conference team would be proud of, the immediate future looks bright.

They won 4-0 away to Margate tonight which puts them top of the table. And after strengthening the side this summer promotion is expected! fingers crossed.:)

Grays and Thurrock, my Dad used to play for them and Dagenham many moons ago and I managed to take him to Grays V Weymouth a couple of seasons ago when both were fighting for promotion and just before he died.

It looked really good at Grays 3 seasons or so ago when their Chair was going to build a new stand etc, but then when Simpson left they sold most of their players and have struggled since, a real shame.
