The L'equipe XI got me thinking about fun dream XI's one could create. Any theme for your team, be is only using left footers, only using players who play in a certain colour strip, only using players under the age of 21 etc etc. It can be all time players or just current ones, whatever theme you want.

I've gone with a side only of players who either have a first name starting with E, or a surname starting with P, because my initials are EP. I'm choosing from all time players rather than just current players.

1. Edwin Van der Sar
2. Steve Perryman
3. Eric Abidal
4. Edgar Davids
5. Carles Puyol
6. Daniel Passarella
7. Eric Cantona
8. Michel Platini
9. Ferenc Puskas
10. Edison Arantes do Nasciminto (Pele)
11. Jean-Pierre Papin

Van der Sar
Perryman Puyol Passarella Abidal
Davids Platini
Puskas Cantona Papin
Pele

2.Dean Gordon 5.Dean Richards 3.Dean Blackwell

---------4.Dean Marney--6.Dean Whitehead------------

---8.Dean Windass-----------------7.Dean Sturridge---

11.Dean Saunders-- 10.Dean Ashton-- 9.Dixie Dean

SUBS:(gk)Dean Gerken, Dean Holdsworth, Dean Parrett, Brian Deane, Dean Wilkins

Bulgaria pick their squads on a similar formula - your name must end in a "v" to be selected (true, go check it out, every single one).

Other than that, how about a team of players who achieved their maximum potential wearing moustaches?

N Southall

--D Walker------C Kamara----M Lawrenson

R Rivelino---T McDermott---R Gullit-----G Best

---Socrates

R Villa--R Voller

I think it is also a prerequisite that your name ends in a vowel to play for the Italian national team

I'm sure at some point we had a midfield featuring Edgar DAVIDS, Simon DAVIES and Sean DAVIS?
