I'm going to start the ball rolling and say a player who has impressed me enormously this season is Yohan Cabaye. Busy **** and water carrier par excellence and was a major factor behind Lille's unfashionable success and has continued that throughout this season So hard to come into a new tougher league in a foreign country and impress but this fella is, for me, at the hub of Newcastle's league position.

Parker has been superb for us, but this guy is going to be superb for 5 years, and was a much shrewder signing IMO for about the same money we paid for Parker.

Ben Arfa's been impressive too. I can remember when we were hot for him, wish we'd followed through (oo er). Like Taraabt with a brain.

Alex Song has been excellent for them lot, not sure if he counts as a unsung hero but he doesn't get that much hype. Top, top player.

Been talking up Ramires all season too, only recently has he started to make people sit up and notice but he's been doing it for Chelsea all season. He's like the duracell bunny, up and down all day long.

I've always had a lot of time for Leon Osman at Everton too, and with Hodgson there may be a chance of an England call up. Good, versatile player.

I think our most unsung player is Adebayor.

Moses has come on leaps and bounds in the last few weeks. He was good but his end product was missing. I think Caldwell at Wigan is underrated too.
I believe some forward at arsenal has done well but he's a complete ****.
Newcastle do seem to have the best pick with a fair few from Everton but then again Everton really are a team as opposed to Stars.

I've been really impressed with Swansea's left back (can't remember his name) when I've seen them. Most of their players have been getting a lot of praise this season, but I haven't seen much for him.

Don't know if he's unsung, but Ashley Williams has been brilliant alongside Caulker for Swansea, has shown that there is talent in the Championship that can step up to the PL.

Carrick really been playing well for United 2nd half of the season too.

Anthony Pilkington at Norwich
Phil Bardsley, a player i've never been convinced about, has been very good for the Mackems
Ramires is possibly Chelsea's best player for me, he can do everything. Doesn't have the name but plenty of talent

Can't argue with Cabaye though. And Leon Osman has been quality for years - a really underrated player

Johnny Evans has been outstanding for United, played almost the whole season and has been more of a worthy player to replace Rio and Vidic. People are quick to mock him saying he's shit, but he's been brilliant this year IMO

1) Heroes.

2) Mark Schwarzer. Steven Fletcher. Steven Pienaar (still counts).

3) That's all.

Agree re Song. Said the other day I reckon he's the second best CM to Yaya in the EPL.

As it is City I dont know if he can be called an unsung hero, but in their team of star names Lescott has been rock solid whenever I have watched them.

Agree with BC on Cabaye, the bloke's top drawer. Quite a lot at Newcastle for me, Tiote is a machine, and I think Gutierrez (sp?) has gone under the radar a bit but has done pretty well this season.

Can we also put in a shout for Caulker and Naughton at Swansea and Norwich?

Fellaini. With every game I see him in, he's always improved. He's tall, hard in the tackle, good in the air, can pass the ball well and has a fantastic engine on him. Add that with his ability to cause problems at set pieces and get0 the odd goal here and there and I think he is a fantastic player.

Also shout outs to Moses and Shaun Maloney at Wigan, whose runs of form have seemingly done the impossible and dragged Wigan out of the bottom 3.

Angel Rangel?

Out of interest, who have Lille replaced Cabaye with? They're still up the top of Ligue 1 aren't they so must have got somebody else decent in.

I think my pick might be Shaun Maloney. Everything that Wigan have done well in their great escape seems to have involved him.

There are quite a few, Sinclair and that centre midfielder at Swansea.

Moses.

Krul & Vorm in goal, both cracking keepers. (is it krul??)

Obviously, the Newcastle centre forwards (and other players for them).

I'm very excited by the propect of Caulker and Walker in our squad next season, glipse of hte future those two.

Benoit Pedretti. A veteran deep lying playmaker who spent his best years at Auxerre and has been capped 22 times by France.

Think he meant Neil Taylor.
