watching Vlad play in one of the UEFA matches, cant remember who we played but in 30+ years of watching Spurs it was the worst defensive performance Ive ever seen. I wouldnt be surprised if he was either drunk or been thrown a bung by a bookie (or both!)

The second Chelsea goal I'm the cup final was my worst moment of the season

Soldado's fuck up in Florence and the defensive error from fazio which dumped us out the europa are my second (joint moments as in same game)

The draw at Burnley and loss to villa are up there because of their nature - no effort and not fight, it was a mirror image of the post 08 cup win period under Ramos when the players were clearly done for the year and the season over

Two very good moments in beating Chelsea and arsenal at home - glorious games. But over all this season has been disappointing and so far I'm not really impressed with poch

I'm hoping that this summer he will get rid of the players he doesn't want and be granted transfers for players he feels he does want

Then we can judge him on the work he's doing with a team created in his image rather than working with the mess created by avb and levy

Was that at home to Besiktas?

His handball for the penalty which threw away 2 points was infuriating

Born to play for spurs I remember some posters on here claiming - only if he's a reincarnation of ginger Pele.

Given his ball handling skills in the box that day I can only assume they meant he was born to play for San Antonio spurs

I can't wait to get him and many of our other recent flop signings out the club

Liverpool at home. We gave them that win on a plate which they didn't deserve.

The United game was probably the most disheartening, because it just showed what a gap there is between us and the top teams at the moment, which is depressing considering how far we've closed that gap in the last decade or so.

Stoke for me. Mostly because I took the trip from Norway just to see the worst performance I can remember. Money well spent that.

The Cup Final against Chelsea was bad, because losing a Cup Final to a rival is just a horrible thing. Though I didn't expect too much from it.

I actually hated that first 30mins against Man Utd recently, potentially the most abject period of play and lack of coherence, fight and effort that we witnessed this season. It was depressing, especially at a time when winning could have had major repercussions (in hindsight we mucked enough up for it to perhaps not have made a difference but who knows.)

This for me too.

Watching Townsend and Chadli in that first 30 minutes meander around aimlessly like fucking driftwood on a fag break just said to me "Pochettino just isn't getting his message across".

On the plus side, that Arsenal home game was possibly the most complete footballing performances I've seen from a Spurs side, for an incredibly long time.

Agree on both points. What a contrast.

And we've been fecking shit ever since, baffling, and very annoying. Seems the players pretty much downed tools for the season after that magnificent performance, coinciding with some strange team selections.

WBA at home was brutal. Don't think we even had a shot on goal did we?

To be honest, there have been so many in one season that it's hard to pick just one.

I was tempted to go for the Liverpool game because the way we set up against them (a high line against the fastest attack in the league) was just so incredibly tactically naive but the abject display against an out of form Man Utd team was the defining moment of our season so i've gone for that.

You really do remember all of the terrible performances mentioned in this thread and wonder how on earth we are 6th in the league and only 7 points off 4th.

If we ever actually played well, we would probably have the league won by Christmas.

Cup final is the obvious one, because we didn't really show up and the prize was within reach. However, two losses against big teams after beating Arsenal really put an end to our charge for the Champions league - losing to Liverpool in Feb and the Man Utd in March. Could and should have won both games to leave the league table looking very differently.

Have to agree the cup final was very tame for me a meek effort all round barely troubled chelsea, in fact they could have fielded their under 21 team and still won.

That Liverpool loss early on was a massive blow. We looked half decent leading up to that. Then bang, and that game showed up all our issues in one game! It showed we had a huge amount to do and how far behind we were again
