Every time I see Paulinhos name in the line up

The CC final was disappointing, but with such a young side, up against a Chelsea side packed with big game experiance, I wasn't expecting much anyway.

The 0-3 to Liverpool pat the start of the season was very painful for me. Another trimming at home from them, lost interest in football for a while after that. We really need to hammer them next chance we get to make up for our absolutely disgraceful recent results against them.

Cup final really. Always hate losing in cup finals, particularly to that classless club.

away to burnley for me. before that we had real chance of top 4.all teams above played each other. if we could have won that and then villa at home it was really on. but the performance was a team who did nt think or look like they were good enough to be in champions league

The Fiorentina one was a bit of a mare. Soldado scores a goal, then does his usual thuggery to somehow show he's commited and gives away a sloppy freekick, then in the return leg does an awful pass for the one on one. I lost all confidence in him after that.

The worst for me was the Burnley showing, quite possibly the worst performance I've seen in years, we showed no desire, ambition, pressure or anything noteworthy. To think if we didn't mess up against Villa and Burnley we could have been 3 points behind City. That really made me angry and I've seen us play with Doherty as a lone striker before

Cup final loss pissed me off the most. I've sort of become numb to the crap performances at home a la Villa, Stoke etc.

It is hard to home in on any one particular game. They all resonate as being painful for different reasons.

For me, it was the Leicester game. Probably a bit of childhood romance with the FA cup that edged it. I really thought it was the chance to win a 'major' competition as at the time, big teams around us were playing poorly and had been knocked out (Chavs, Citeh). The League cup final doesn't have the same appeal as the FA cup to me, not that I didn't care about it, because that was disappointing too.

The United game caused me physical pain for the sheer and utter shiteness of the performance and making Van-Gaal even more popular with the press. humph. After all the talk I was making about Spurs looking like they were moving forward under Poch, they pulled that steaming pile of smeg ridden slurry out of the bag. I still get angry thinking about it now.

Cup Final for me...big occasion, built it up all weekend, my sons first spurs cup final, pre-match nerves all sunday morning, went to the pub early, got a table right in front of the big tv, plenty of us there, all excited...then the match starts. Then the match ends.

The game wasn't great but the performance from our boys, tired or not, was awful. And then we continued to be pretty shit after that...

Its been missed from the vote but West Brom at home is the one for me. It was the worst Spurs game I think I'd ever seen. We didn't have a shot AT goal until the 61st minute. Thats over an hour of play. It was just woeful football. They weren't much better but we were just so shit.

... For me it's United away, I think (wrongly or rightly) we all started to believe we had a good chance of finishing top 4 after a good run of form and United were looking so poor at that point. To not even turn up and let Man Utd steamroll us without putting up a fight was embarrassing and seemed to kill all hope and optimism around the club for a good end of season finish. That defeat changed everything and we've never looked the same since. The fight to win games at the death we had earlier in the season seems to have completely diminished and the players themselves even looked like they couldn't be arsed ever since
Well, as Roy Keane said not so long ago, Fergie's pre-match dressing room talk when THFC came to town consisted of him just saying: "Hey lads, it's only Spurs." And that was all.

Losing to Palace away really pissed me off because we were absolutely coasting in that game and managed to throw it away at the end.

Losing 3-0 at Old Trafford. It was a make or break game for me and we just did not do ourselves justice.

I don't understand the views on the cup final by so many, we could have done better but we were not awful! We played as well as a team could have I think against a team of that standard with 2 days rest or whatever it was. They gave all they could I think, Chelsea had a couple of deflections although probably deserved overall. We gave a decent account of ourselves for a very young side who had played a silly amount of games. We didn't get dicked like last time. And if CE goal had gone in it could have been very different.

Selling Dawson broke my heart. With Defoe, Bale, and Huddlestone all leaving a season earlier, Dawson was one of the last players left from when I first fell in love with Spurs.

Luckily I left the country just before the final...

I haven't seen any of it, including the thread but that would still be the worst moment. Just because chelsea..

The moment I realised that the 5-3 result v Chelsea was not the tone we'd be setting for the rest of the season, namely 9 days later at Crystal Palace.

And the Cup Final no-show.

Stoke at home, when poch realised Kaboul capoue etc were not the right players. It was so bad it was incredible. Players looked like they didn't have a clue.

Interesting point!

So do you think its more of a self fulfilling prophesy or are we just not good enough right now?
