Right now Tielemans plays for Anderlecht the exact same position as Alli does for us. The 2 CMs are Dendoncker and Defour.

Besides, Dendoncker is also very highly rated.
He may well be, but watching him against us twice it looks to me like he's a natural DLP. Bit like Carroll but a better athlete.

Maybe, just seems to me Poch prefers him further forward.
Will end up as an insane box-to-box player IMO.

A few reasons why Poch might currently think he's better playing further forward:
  • His goal-scoring ability is currently stronger than his defensive ability, so will be more effective in the 3 at the moment.
  • Might be too much responsibility playing in a CM2 at the moment (although he was good there against City)
  • Dembele's been a monster.

I was liking what I was seeing from him deeper myself, but as things stand he's adding much needed pace to our front 4. Still think despite all our strengths Tielemans will still add something in terms of his superb passing ability and vision. Positions and stuff can all be debated but I think it would be a great bit of business to get this lad in.

The hype for him is pretty unreal and there will be A LOT of potential suitors should he look to go.

I'd rather sign a player who could potentially become world class and play alongside Dier than just a back-up for Dier though.
That is what every club in the world would agree to (i.e wanting a future world class player in their midst) ;)

More Belgian lads, please. I love the current lot we have at the club, quality players with great attitudes.

So would this kid alongside Dele Alli with Harry Kane ahead of them terrorize opposition defenders for the next ten years?
