Don't take ITk too seriously.

Things can change in an instant. Yes it's unlikely we'll make a signing but don't take every little snippet so seriously.

I doubt even Poch knows what's going to happen over the next three days. Transfers are fluid and complicated processes most of the time.

Spot on. The same things he was optimistic on 3 days ago could come back into play come Thursday.

Papers reporting Levy is awaiting Poch's green light for Tielemans. Lets see what happens.

I cant believe we're actually going to let this deal pass us by.
Cause we don't have a penny. We haven't sold anyone so we don't have money to buy. I don't belive we have 100 mln for transfers. Since ENIC took over our net spend is always zero. And now when the stadium taking all our money, with brexit that made it even more expensive, we have 100mln for transfers? They bought him for 25 milion. He is still young, inflation etc. imo he will us cost about the same. And we don't have 25mln. It's really woring that we are having so much trouble with both selling and buying for like 1.5 year...

Tielemans is a perfect Spurs target and player - so incredibly disappointing if we dont act on this and if some of the rumors are true that Hitchen & Levy have signed off and its in Poch's court. Tielemans was a player 18 months ago that every single major club in the world wanted, including us. He went to Monaco and has played a lot but it's been very unstable there. He went to Monaco to take the next step forward in his development - similar to Eriksen's thinking when he was young going to Ajax over CHelsea, Barcelona etc. Tielemans with the right coaching and set up could be the next great Belgian midfielder.

Leicester got 2 deals over the line for Pereira and Silva that we couldn't manage, so I wouldn't be surprised if they got Tielemans as well.

That Pereira transfer still stings. He was quality, we all knew it, and he went for a reasonable fee.

But I really am starting to worry about some Poch blind spots. He's brutal to some (Janssen, Adebayor, Soldado, Kaboul), but others are given endless backing (Trippier, Llorente).

Why can't Levy promise Poch if he accepts Youri, and if Rabiot finally agrees to come, he'll give him that as well? That'll solve the impasse.

Yea he was one that I really really wanted. "Difficult player ownership structure" was cited as the reason for not being able to complete it, if I remember correctly.

We need to sell for the squad space, not because we need the money.

Winks is better than him in my opinion. I mean I’m as desperate for us to bring in a CM as anyone but I want one who automatically and undoubtably would go into the first team. Is it really sensible spending on a CM who although improves options may not actually improve our first team? We don’t have the money to then have to go sign another CM in the summer and have 3 players fighting for one spot.

If we were going to plug gaps in squad we should have done it before we got knocked out of all the cups. We haven’t got as hectic a fixture list anymore.

If he is best we can get for CM I think I’d rather just wait until we actually have money to spend (post sales).

It's not that simple though. If Tielesmans comes and doesn't adapt then we are stuck with another player taking up an important squad place that we have to get rid of before bringing anyone in next summer etc...

Poch absolutely shouldn't just sign a player for the sake of it if he doesn't believe that player can perform to the level he expects.

we have sold dembele
Not because we needed money, because Foyth needed the CL squad space and also Dembele felt he couldn't do his best for us in the PL as his body can't take the physicality anymore. Nothing to do with needing to generate money.

You can argue that Wanyama can't do the business anymore either. I'd drop him if it we had someone better incoming.
