Apparently Leicester’s Silva is travelling to Monaco tomorrow as part of a swap deal for Tielemans.

Which suggests that Poch has said no.

I’m honestly fucking done now.

If Poch is happy enough to with Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Skipp and a perma crocked Wanyama at CM to only want Rabiot and says no to other options then so be it. Personally think he's playing a dangerous game as we saw already this month but oh well.

If he performs up to his ability, at that price, I'll be fuming. With all the Belgians around the club you'd think we'd have some insight as to whether he's likely to reach his full potential or whether he really has been derailed by his injuries. Let's hope that assessment proves to be accurate.

I'm not convinced Tielemans would have been the savior but something has to change.
Well we don't need a savior or even a player of Rabiot's quality at CM. We only have 3 fit CM's who can be trusted at this point and one of them isnt even a CM by trade.

Look at the bright side. We can once more pride ourselves with zero net spend. That will teach my dipper colleagues to shut up surely.

He’s a player with supreme potential.

Poch once told Dembele that had he trained him as an 18 year old, he’d be one of the best. He still managed to turn a Dembele on the verge of a Spurs exit into arguably the best CM in the league at one point.

Tielemans ticks all of Pochettino’s boxes so i really can’t fathom why he’s turned his nose up at him.

Perhaps Poch believes we're above the level of 1 or 2 projects at this point. I personally dont believe any club is above the level of a few projects. The only club that operates that way is PSG. Even Chelsea has managed to find it in them to give time to a few developing players.

It seems like that much of a no-brainer it’s obvious we would turn it down. Leicester have had some chumps like Ihenacho but they have got some crackers. Pereira, Maguire for £17m, Jonny Evans for 4m? Wilfred Ndidi always impresses me and Maddison looks decent too.

They get a lot right

That's a new innovative excuse:
"Sorry, we tried to spend the cash but we failed".
I'd suggest that we'll never actually know. All the links we have had this window have been pure speculation and guess work.

we're clearly in one of following scenarios....

- we're truly skint and can't afford anyone, even fat dave from league 6
- poch is trolling us
- we're in the upside down

I'm not one for just signing anyone and can understand Poch's views to a point, but this one really is weird. He's a different kind of midfielder to what we have, we've scouted him before, we can make good money on him and at least not lose much on him, he'd likely fit in well with the squad being a Belgian international and we need players in the middle of the park desperately. If he trusted Onomah to take him back from loan, then I would understand it. But he doesn't want that one either!

And if we are waiting to see if he can do it in the Prem, that is unbelievably dumb b/c it's really bloody hard to get a proven player from another Prem team when they are all cash rich from big TV money these days.

Maybe Monaco are only willing to loan him out and only if they get someone who they deem quality in the loan back, and we don't want to loan (unless we get purchase rights) and they don't like anyone we could give them in return?
