and then think again.
And no, Tainio doesn't keep it simple. Still got our first cup game against the Chavs last season recorded somewhere? If so, watch it again (if you can bear it) and see how many times he needlessly gives the ball away in the second half.
I don't even really know what you're trying to show me. I can't really be bothered to find his stats. But I'm assuming you've got statistics showing that what I've said isn't true. Yet, that doesn't really tell us the whole story. It doesn't show what part of the field he's giving the ball away in, it doesn't show how long the passes were, or in which direction. But from having watched Zokora, I still stick by my points.
And I'm not for irrationally slating a player, I'll admit he had a decent game today, but there are also some people who irrationaly defend a player and that's equally pointless to be honest.
he's good at anything that doesn't involve any actual football talent. As in he runs around a lot, gets in the way something, and can break up play ok. But to be honest, other than his athleticism, he isn't better than any of our other midfield options. His passing is average, his shooting is woeful, his tackling can be good but he gives away too many free kicks. Tainio, who I think is more efficient, lacks Zokora's pace but is in my opinion much better at breaking up play, less likely to give away silly fouls, and although his passing isn't phenomenal, he keeps it simple and gives the ball to our more attacking players. And he doesn't always try, and fail, to shoot.
I ain't even gonna read the rest of this thread.
I read the first two posts and you two no-names that kicked this off can go and F+++ yourselves.
Leave our sodding players alone and support one of those top four teams you'd love Spurs to be like so much.
I hope somewhere in this thread you ate your words after todays performance.
But, in case you didn't, lets try and hook up for a drink before a match sometime and I'll shove em down your neck.
(Am I about to get banned for personal abuse?.......maybe so....... but if anybody think of pressing a button on me just remember who started this of. I'm sick of the constant slating on this site and I will soon refuse to be a part of it if it carries on.)
Zokora had a good game today.
His main problem seems to be that he's quite good at a lot of things, but not great at any of them. Which means that he always looks both useful and a liability.
He covers a lot of ground but his positional sense isn't always great.
He tackles a lot but tends to give away a lot of free-kicks.
He's great running with the ball at his feet but mostly fails to pass to a team-mate at the end of it.
He can wallop the ball but can't keep it on target.
The reason he's such a divisive player (for fans) is because he's clearly not totally rubbish. But he's never really good enough, particularly compared with other defensive midfielders in the Premiership. I always think that if the coach could only find his perfect position, he'd be great.
He really is nt that bad. Just a typical africal player. inconsistent!
explains the slight limp... :up:zokora has a very big willy.
Why, is he packed with explosives? Is he a double agent? Is he actually The Hooded Claw from Penelope Pistop??if we have any aspirations to beat PSV he must not start.
