I remember getting excited when we first signed him, what a let down.

Apparently he's still at Portsmouth!

But wasn't Walkers callback at Christmas, when we had that option available to us??

yes, but im sure it was a season long loan with the option to recall in the January Window.

So it would depend on what clauses we have With QPR over BAE but im sure the option would be there if we sell him to someone else

Bit worrying Naughton limping at the end as well; if they're both out we are now down to precisely four fit defenders...

It's what we spend years developing players for.

We are a bit thin on defenders who could step up; Smith, Khumalo and Hall are out on loan; I would not be too worried about Fredericks stepping up, he was no worse than Fryers fro the U21s last season, but Walker does not miss many games; Stewart is versatile, but it would be a big step up; and Milos for all his potential still looks raw.

I'd be happy to see him against a lower league side - he did ok with League 1 Crewe in his one month end of season loan last season - but its a big step up if Hull field premiership players against him.

An alternative would be to play the older Fredericks at RB and move Walker to left back - but that's not ideal either

If all are out then it has to be Vertonghen first choice and Townsend in the cups. Possibly Stewart as well if he's up to the job. Andros has played LB a couple of times before and with a bit of adaptation he could be alright. I'm pretty sure Andre prefers his LB's to be more attacking anyway so it could suit us with an inverted left winger in front of him.

Will he be available for the Hull game on Wednesday? I think he does a decent job and would like to see him play there rather than Naughton.
