I cant help but like the guy, he takes the piss out of journos and they fall for it. I doubt he meant it but the media always try and potray him in that way. I luved the one where the female journo asked if he was gay, his responce? "u and your sister back to my place and u will see if i am gay" :).

Judging from past quotes and press conferences etc. my guess is that he made this remark with tongue firmly in cheek.

He has a personality, unlike most footballers. And he's absolutely brilliant to watch. I like him, his arrogance is so over the top that it's amusing rather than grating.

He will have had a cheeky grin on his face all the way through the interview he loves winding them up.

And given that he applauded Ronaldo's hat-trick, it can hardly be said that he doesn't respect the opposition...
Yeah I dont have a problem with him at all he seems a nice guy and everything he says seems in jest, but this is only obvious when you actually see the interview and not just read the transcript. There is a great video of the 50 funniest things or fights he has got into and it had me in stitches, he has a very dry sense of humour with a lot of "poker facing".
