will people now retrospectively concede that he held us back. affable bloke. bad midfielder. the way hudd passed and moved today was beautiful. always on the ball too.threaded passes, lofted passes, crossfield hollywood balls, sideways passes when needed.

he reminded me of lucho or riquelme today(seriously) he is the castrol in the middle of the park keeping the moves lubed.

zokora good riddance

I was absolutely over the moon when he left.... I am in complete agreement.

I wonder if he was still here, would he still be taking that CM spot over Hudd even though Hudd is 1000000 times the player he is???

Zokora completely held this team back.

Shame we persevered for as long as we did. Completely stifled our attacking play, stunted any attempt at free flowing football and left us horribly exposed at the back.

Thank god he's gone and we can look forward.

Now now, just because we're doing well is no reason to hate on past players.

I wasn't a Zokora fan, but he gave 100% in every game. He should be shown respect for that even if he wasn't good enough.

Agreed.

Let's not get carried away lads. Enjoy the win with the players we have.

We don't need to be disrespectful to a player that played a big role in us winning our most recent trophy

The muppetry, honestly...

Swap Jenas for Zokora and you're spot on. Palacios replaced Zokora, Hudd has replaced Jenas. Both have been upgrades.

That's poor justification. I'm sure compete planks like Tramezanni and Scott were giving 100% but they were even poorer than Zokora.

Justification for what? I'm not defending Zokora's ability. You can say that our midfield is much better this season without slagging off past players.

the reason i am sticking the boot in is because he was defended to the hilt on here and i just want to see if people cant still see the hudd from the trees( see what i did there) .

huddlestone is my favourite player in football and arguably our most talented player.if given 5 or 6 of games on the trot he will be hard to ever drop again.future spurs captain too i think.

Just because he gave 100% and you think he deserves respect for that. A very poor player, many said it often like myself, and it was well regarded amongst top sides that the combination of Zokora and JJ was easy to pressurise and dominate, even when losing.

I slagged him regularly after the first few months and I don't regret it. Great athlete, terrible footballer.

Zokora was a terrible defensive central midfielder imo. He held us back and isn't anywhere near as good as Palacios. Even when Harry came in he played Zokora but he soon realised that he was no good and shipped him out.

Great attitude, but who cares about that? I would rather have a player whose attitude seems questionable, but who delivers on the pitch.

Get a grip, we've won two games, and we won both of these games last year. Of course Palacios is a better player but it's too simplistic to just say "Zokora held us back". Zokora was an average player with limited attributes, but nobody was forcing Jol, Ramos, Redknapp to play him.

Another win & thus, another pointless & vindictive thread. Why not spend your time saying positive things about the players who are still here instead of celebrating another win by lambasting someone you don't like? The anti-Keane thread was a bit maudlin having just rolled over one of the best sides in the league but at least it was a bit relevant, in that Keano still has some effect of our team. Unless you're a Sevilla fan, who cares...?

dear oh dear, massive knee jerks. we've won 2 games which is great but im somewhat perplexed by how quickly people are getting carried away.

and might i just add we beat alot of good teams with zokora in the heart of midfield as well as finished 5th with him.

lets just see how we look at christmas before we start proclaiming this to be the greatest spurs team of recent times

a few of us actually. because that charlatan had cult status on this and other spurs message boards.i campaigned for huddlestone relentlessly and now its bearing fruit.

maybe i should just bump threads with "i told you so "written in them.
its not vindictive really.im just wondering would zokora lovers like to revisit the issue and maybe repent

No, i won't concede he held us back, i think you're trying to simplify tons of our problems of the past 2 years onto one player who, now he's gone, can't possibly prove you right or wrong. Cheap shot and pointless.
