Why have you 2 lads- selbyid and defchenkoe - bothered posted on a thread that says clearly what it is in the title? The player's gone so there's no issues about slagging off the team or undermining them. Concentrate on posting on the threads that are celebrating our current status, and don't waffle on when you obviously don't have a clue regarding the qualities needed to constitute a top football player.

Oh. Fuck. Off.

Point out where I suggested that Zokora is a top player or even for that matter a particularly good one. Go on. You can't, because it never happened. Don't waffle on when you obviously don't have a clue about the words you allegedly just read...

I posted in this because I have a right to an opinion & my opinion is that this thread is just pointless negativity.

Tickers & RSS...

Never suggested you did say he was a top player, did I? Just that your judgement is obviously lacking.

Now you fuck off, with your worthless opinions.

will people now retrospectively concede that he held us back. affable bloke. bad midfielder. the way hudd passed and moved today was beautiful. always on the ball too.threaded passes, lofted passes, crossfield hollywood balls, sideways passes when needed.

he reminded me of lucho or riquelme today(seriously) he is the castrol in the middle of the park keeping the moves lubed.

zokora good riddance

:bang:

Fuck me... On the night we spank Hull away from home 5-1, on the night Jermain Defoe bags a treble, on the night Keane and Defoe take another step to prove they can play together, on the night that Aaron Lennon terrifies yet another defense, on the night that Huddlestone plays - actually plays - for 90 minutes, on the night that Wilson Palacios adds yet another string to his bow...

On this night...

You choose to slate a former player?

Fuck me...

Calm down everyone.

Zoko is gone, he done his bit. Good luck to him. Now look to the future. Good times ahead me thinks. :)

I cannot believe some of the comments here. Zokora left for Sevilla! A team in the Champions League.

Zokora will always be a Spurs legend.

Just because he gave 100% and you think he deserves respect for that. A very poor player, many said it often like myself, and it was well regarded amongst top sides that the combination of Zokora and JJ was easy to pressurise and dominate, even when losing.

I slagged him regularly after the first few months and I don't regret it. Great athlete, terrible footballer.

What do you base that on? Have you spoke to players or staff from the top four sides?

You said that I didn't have a clue what constitutes a top player - what were you basing this on, if not on a misreading of my opinions on this thread/player? Have you read any of my other posts on players I consider to be "top class"? Do tell...

And why are my opinions worthless? If they were you'd no doubt be able to counter them without resorting to insults, right...?

I was happy when Zokora left. We've had worse than him, but he wasn't a good player and our midfield was far worse with him in it. However, he gave his all for us, never moaned when he was out of the side and had a genuine affection for the club. For that alone, even if I'm glad he's gone, he has my respect. This thread is cruel and needless, we should be rejoicing and thinking about positive things, not spewing hate for the sake of it.

Some fans make me feel ashamed.

Get a grip, we've won two games, and we won both of these games last year. Of course Palacios is a better player but it's too simplistic to just say "Zokora held us back". Zokora was an average player with limited attributes, but nobody was forcing Jol, Ramos, Redknapp to play him.

Agree.
Can't understand why, after two games, all of a sudden it's because Zokora left Spurs is better Eek
Palacios is better than most - if not the best - DMF in the EPL so naturally having him settle in improves Spurs a lot.
You may as well say that selling Atoubta, Postiga, McEwan, Tanio, and the list can go on, also improved Spurs.
Jenas also haven't played so far this season....

I think it's pretty obvious i think this thread is shit.

If the original poster had given a constructive reason as to why playing Zokora made us a less effective team, then fair enough. Anyway, as has been mentioned, Palacios was Zokora's replacement, not Hudd.

The thread could've started: "Hudd & Palacios really paired up well tonight didn't they. With Palacios' tough tackling and Hudd's vision and passing, you can see why this works better than the Jenas - Zokora partnership. Zokora, for all his commitment, hasn't got the positional awareness of Palacios and isn't as good in the tackle etc etc etc". It didn't have to be 'good riddance Zokora', followed by comments suggesting he's the worst player to wear the shirt etc.

I know all the above is really gay, but it does annoy me how something so brilliantly positive like literally demolishing Hull away to go top of the league after 2 games, can spawn a hateful thread like this.
