Zokora is a good player. Got a really good engine, strong in the tackle and possibly one of our fittest players. Does any other player cover as much ground per game? Lacked direction under Jol, hopefully Juande can get the best from him this season. If not I agree with the first few comments.

zokora is not a good dm. this is why:

his first touch is awful.

when he does win the ball back (rarely) he cannot distribute it and just ends up running with his head down and hopes to get fouled.

he cant pass

he just concedes fouls around the penalty area then leading to goals being conceded from free kicks. he does this almost all the time examples chelsea cc final, newcastle at home.

he gets lost in the attack all the time

he has no discipline

provides no cover for the back 4 hence all the long shots

has not taken the midfield by the neck imo how a dm should

these are just a few reasons why imo he is not a good dm.

when he was told to play just as a DM by ramos i thought he did pretty well.lts when he was playing as a box to box midfielder(which means jj was having to do the same) hes not as good.just tell him to sit deep, win the ball and give it, and he would be fine...(then again if where 3 up let him go on his runs.i want to see him beat 4 players and stick it in the top corner!!!! it will happen..)

at the very worst, zokora is a top quality squad rotation player... if he continues to improve he could still become a valuable first-team regular

not many midfielders in the prem can lace carricks boots....thats why he left us!!!!

Well you wouldn't have known it listening to plenty of muppets at WHL and in these chat rooms. Alot of the same people think Zoko is a very good DM in the Prem.

Some of us know different

Zokora obviously has a degree of versatility that Ramos rates. He has probably played in more positions for us than any other squad member. Being a utility player has actually gotten some players into WC squads....our own Gary Stevens a case in point. If Ramos is building the Spurs squad into something of his own Zokora seems likely to be useful to him.....probably more useful than Jenas even.

As said above, a utility player is vital in the squad and Zoko is one of our best. He is also one of the very few in the team who will do what is necessary to stop an opposition player. Too many of our players think just poking your boot out is tackling.
