Where we that busy basking in the glory of the wonderful attacking football that we were playing that we did not realise what was happening at Chelski under AVB that we now think he is an upgrade on Harry and is going to be the answer to a more sustained assualt on the top 4 or title.

I think we would be seriously deluded if we think that AVB is what we need. Could not do the job first time around so what has changed to all of a sudden make this man the messiah we have been looking for.

I think Mr Levy has made a very big mistake and unfortunately us as fans are going to be the ones paying for it.

We will be the laughing stock of the football world if this appointment is confirmed.

I wonder if Nottingham Forest fans thought that when they appointed Brian Clough as manager in 1975 after a disastrous spell in charge of Leeds Utd?

If it is AVB then thats fine with me. When we played Chelsea earlier he impressed as to how
respectful he was to us when Chelsea scored. No jumping up and down he just played it cool.
He's young yes but has imo massive potential. He could revolutionise the club from top to
bottom. Lets take that chance before other clubs do.

interesting new stuff on RO........surely we can't secure Ade or anyone else until manager sorted

i take it as negotiations with Remy and Ade have progressed, but have not been finalised in case new manager has other ideas on formations/personnel which would make either not wanted.

IMO both could work in a 433 or 4321 etc so may yet be signed. Just a question of patience until manager is signed, then wait a week or two for some player negotiayions to be concluded. Still plenty of time !

I think the clock might be ticking with Ade.

I suspect our permanent option with City ends when his loan does a week on Saturday.

How anyone can see the positive of getting a Chelsea reject is beyond me.

It's a fucking disaster waiting to happen. It will be like watching a slow motion car crash.

He is a poor poor manager and we should be looking at someone a lot better.

Sometimes our club really is a fucking joke

Jose, prior to chelsea = League Title x 2 , Cup(1) x 1, Cup (2) x 1, UCL x 1 UEFA x1 (two seasons) - age 49
AVB, prior to Chelsea = League Title x 1, Cup (1) x1, Cup (2) x 1, UEFA x 1 (one season) - age 34
Rafa Benitez prior to Liverpool = league title x 2, UEFA x 1 (three seasons) age 52
Wenger priot to arsenal = Emperors Cup x 1, Super Cup x 1 (japan), League title and Cup (france) (over an 8 year period) 62 y/o
Although that is using their current ages, not when they joined those clubs. Still he is an impressive young man who I would like to support should he be appointed.

If I remember correctly - Jay didn't want Harry either?

Let me guess, Jay would like.... Mourinho, or Pep Guardiola? The reincarnation of Bill Nicholson?

I can't believe how much AVB is splitting opinion!

Holy shit. How can you not. It's right in his infamous acronym. The V is literally a wedge in his name. A obviously stands for 'Arry and B stands for Board of Directors. Arry vs. Board

I don't wish to start aggro with you TL, but how could you miss that. ;)

Yep that's who I want.

Harry was a prick as well. Pleased he has gone but please AVB?! Come on surely we could of got one of Guardiola, Hiddink, Blanc, or even Capello would of been a better shout than AV fucking B.
