We could bid but we will never get him. He will never come to spurs. We should be over the moon with getting Ade (if we get him)
Balague tweeted that he'd be happy to come to Spurs, but I guess Juve are a big draw.
Llorente is nother one we've flirted with over a few windows and never got close.

Leandro is the one I want too but can we bring him in with the time left in the window? I imagine he would need a work permit aswell which could take time. I suppose it would come down to how much the deal has already progressed but we don't know this kind of information. I wish we would sell Luka to RM quickly however as this does seem to be stopping us from buying players. Another concern for me is that we will be stuck with Bentley, Jenas and co who are players taking up vital wages who could be better spending on players who AVB actually wants and will play. No point paying them 2 players nearly 100k a week combined to play a couple of europa/Capital one cup games. Shift Luka, shift the deadwood who won't feature much and lets go out and fill the weak areas of the squad starting with Ade + 1 other Striker, a CM, Younger Keeper and Wide competition.

11 Days left but we seem to still not be doing much overall.

Not doing much overall. So everyone says. The truth is that we don't know what is being done. It could be a lot. Do you think that Levy and co. tell everything to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that they know?

But useless is he's never going to come to us

I'm not so sure I buy this. If we are generally interested Llorente, I cannot see why he would be put off. We are clearly a team progressing, we have a new training ground, are building a new stadium, we have an exciting squad with lots of potential, have a young manager who is still very well thought of on the continent, are competitive in the World's most watched league and have the lure of living in one of the World's most vibrant cities.

I won't argue we would be in pole position, but I don't think Juve as guaranteed his signature as some seem to believe.

Actually, with the way he has acted, such as refusing to go on tour to the states, he is likely to have breached his contract. So I can imagine the argument that he should forfeit the bonuses as a result will be being explored by Levy and our Legal team.
It really would depend on the wording in the contract. It may well be the case that the contract simply talks about formal transfer requests because it seems that professional footballers are very reluctant to submit written transfer requests.

re Llorente, I doubt JJ would carry on having us guessing if there was NO chance of this happening. If he is leading us on, he usually quashes it quite quickly.

I'm keeping my hopes up. Maybe Llorente would prefer to join the PL than Serie A? Maybe for once, no-one else is seriously interested due to already having full squads?

Timing does seem to be on our side with this one.

The question should not be "is he legally entitled to a loyalty bonus?". The question should be "does he want to go, more than we want him to go?" If the answer to that question is "Yes", then he is very likely to have to give up his "loyalty" bonus, whatever his contract states. I doubt that his contract states he's entitled to refuse to go on tour, but it appears to be what he has done. It's a question of who holds the better cards. Is the Club, as distinct from those posting on fan sites, desperate to get rid of him? I doubt it. Is he desperate to go? Is the Pope a Catholic? Was he a complete waste of space last season, when he was forced to stay? No. Can he afford to be this season? No.
Whilst I don't disagree with you at all, players who agitate for moves are not loyal & should not receive loyalty bonuses, in reality it all depends on what is written in his contract.

After last summer's chelsea nonsense at the close of the window we are told that Levy spoke to Modric and made him fully aware that he wasn't going anywhere did Modric at any time cause any problems, did he on any occasion not train, not make himself available for a game, make any statement on the matter? Did he at any time not give 100% during a game? Did he complain about or refuse to play in different positions when asked to for the good of the team? No! So maybe he does qualify for his bonus end of.
Personally I am of the opinion that he would waive it but his advisers want the money.
Personally in his position I would go to Juve so if that is the case I don't blame Llorente, Serie A champions or meltdown specialists?
We are going to have to rebuild our credibility over the next few years, thankfully I think we've made a start.

The lure of Juve's Champions League participation is an undoubtedly a factor in the Llorente scenario, and Spurs googles off we know it's a club of significant European history etc. The issue really is Catch-22 we need Champs Lge standard players to fire us back into Europes premier competition, but the absence of same means we struggle to attract the big names, so can we justify a bigger fee or better wages to close the deal? I'm sure Mr. Levy would suggest No!
I'll be well pleased to bring Ade back in, but as the only addition to Defoe, we are leaving ourselves in a tight position. My hope is that we can strike a deal for Leandro, but maybe he only joins in January, similar deal as PSG's for Lucas Moura. Failing this surely Loic Remy is worth a serious bid, covering a central striking and wide forward role, for the AVB 4-2-3-1, which may evolve to 4-3-3 at the Lane

If A and C is right and Levy has been deep in meditation, we should not interfere with him. Maybe if he concentrates enough he can control the minds of his 3 main targets to demand transfers to us. Ronaldo, Messi and Ozil.

Shows how costly our end of season collapse was last year and why Harry was probably justifiably sacked as much as I dislike saying it.

No. It depends on who holds the best cards, the player or the club. His contract is the reason he wants the loyalty bonus. Against that he's desperate to leave. The club are saying you can go but you don't get a loyalty bonus. If you want a loyalty bonus, then you don't go. What can he do? Go on strike? Formally ask for a transfer? Disrupt training? The first he's effectively tried by refusing to go on tour, and been fined. The second defeats the object of getting a loyalty bonus. The third he's precluded from because he's training alone.

Another way of looking at our transfer window would be looking the additions to the squad we have from last year, e.g:
4 new Cb's in:Caulker, Verts, Dawson(back from injury) and Hall
2 new Fb's in:Fryers and Naughton
2 new Cm's:Jenas and Carroll
2 new Wgr's in:Townsend and Bentley
2 new Am's:Gio and Sig
2 new Str's: Ade and Kane

we have like 14 new players in to the squad and 15 if hudd gets fit, so its not all doom and gloom

How many of those would you want to play in a premiership game? Half?

I seem to have completely missed us signing "Hall" despite the fact that I've had SC open on my computer solidly for nearly three months... Who? From? Help me out someone please!
