I think he's open game now. I will wait until A&C or Rob approval but I imagine the Adiepf treatment is coming and it will be Duty Free and cost 60 million and I was the first to mention it *cough*

Surely AVB and Levy must have left the lodge by now. The only reason we think they still may be there is because all the bloody reporters have gone home and so haven't broken the news.

One of the Portuguese journos (Joao Ruela) said that we failed by four minutes and we were prepared to pay 30m euros. o_O

If that's even remotely true, I am going to RAGE! :mad:

I feel pretty embarrassed now that for a brief period I thought he was kind of for real. Even defended him a couple of times on here. No more of that from me. The bloke's a joker. Said earlier today that Willian had just walked into Spurs Lodge ffs.

I think Akqayid just scrapes info off twitter and other ITK postings and passes that on as his "sources".

In all honesty, I think I could probably due the same, be smart about it, and predict most things right. His problem is that he was a bit too brash with his outlandish predictions and got found out. If he was more subdued, he could have gotten away with hit.

Fox Soccer here in the US is covering Spurs' transfer dealings very favorably. Most people are saying we had the best window even without Moutinho. I think our expectations were set artificially high; people that don't obsess over ITK forums think we're a much stronger team now.

Overall, I'm happy with our transfers. VDV hurts but is understandable - he'll always be a legend. But I think we're a much more versatile team now with goal threats from all over the pitch. Looking forward to the rest of this season.

4 minutes? I doubt this is true, as I doubt Levy was ever truly prepared to spend that much on a player with limited sell-on value.
Look at all our summers as a whole: it is the same pattern of events. We should not be surprised that history repeats. No way were we ever going to buy Moutinho IMO.

It's funny, about every soccer pundit out there is claiming we had an outstanding window. Only people I see negative about it are Spurs fans.

If that's the case then these people are foolish. Could be argued that we're about even perhaps (not by me mind) but stronger? No chance. We've lost our two best players and they have not been replaced by equals.

I think some might be getting carried away by the fact that we left so much business late. We did ok considering time restraints (better than most arguably) but it doesn't make up for what we missed out on.

BBC News have apparently said that they have no idea what's happening inside the lodge. But if all the paper work has been sent through then it's more of a possibility of happening.
