It's pretty obvious he's right and we've manipulated the rules, just that nobody will be able to prove it.

when they play us next we should put 16 men out for kick off, just for a laugh. :wtf:

Fergie got murked although what's good for the goose and all that. Hope he realises all the wrong doings he's done in the past has just come back to him now.

btw for all those calling for foul play, yeah it's pretty obvious this is a Levy ploy but so frigging what, to be successful sometimes you have to bend the rules which is why he a very successful businessman. He's not the first to do this kind of deal and won't be the last.

Levy

What I don't like about fergie is the comments that the league shouldn't ratify Fryers registration until its investigated. That's pretty harsh of Fryers who just wants to get on with his career. Shows that fergie doesn't give a shit about the player but just like being shown up.

So when Fergie took Berbatov to Man Utd for a medical even though we had not accepted a bid, what was that? When Fergie accused Martin Atkinson of bias, that was a direct breach of FA rules.

Levy may bend the rules, but Fergie thinks he has every right to break them. That's the difference between a canny businessman and a Grade A tw@t.

Any other team/manager I'd feel a bit of sympathy, but Fergie can suck it.

Fergie has plenty of skeletons in his cupboard that he has conveniently forgotten about, including the management agency that his son ran for many United players purchases and transfers about 8-10 years ago.

There was also the Carlos Tevez multiple ownership thing with the purchase from West Ham and that famous picture of Paul Ince wearing a Man U shirt - before the transfer went through.

As for selling our soul to do deals like this, it may be a tad technical but looking again to the past the likes of Campbell and Berbatov were not exactly saints in making their deals with Arsenal and United.

I remember when Fergie got Man U England players to tap up Michael Carrick on England duty, thus circumnavigating certain rules, and lets not get onto Berbatov.

Fergie and Levy have history, largely due to the fact that Levy is one of the few people in football with the balls to stand up to Fergie. Any player who has stood up to Ferguson at Man U has quickly been brought down to size as has any referee or other official. Fergie seems like the kind of individual who will bully and threaten as much as he can get away with to get what he wants.

In my opinion, if Ferguson really wanted the player, he would have offered him a contract (I'm sure Man U could have matched Lieges offer), he just wanted to get as much money from us because Levy tried to do the same when he wanted to take our players (who were in contract) from us. In the end Levy outsmarted and out manoeuvred Ferguson. Levy Won. Fergie lost. Fortunately Ferguson has a reputation as one of sports most graceful losers.

The irony of this situation is pretty awesome. Levy is pretty awesome.

The club has released a statement which explains everything so no problem. Fergie ought to be careful our Daniel doesn't rip him yet another arsehole all over again.

I'm sure Fergie was sitting atop of his moral high ground when he sent all those players to Preston (or Posh, can't remember who) on loan when his son was manager. Then recalled them all just because he was sacked. Idiot

I don't understand the £6m figure - I thought that was what we'd need to pay in compensation, as decided by tribunal - not what Man Utd were asking. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

But either way, we've done nothing wrong. Buying him for £6m was never going to happen, no one was going to be paying that for him. If it was the case that he could not sign another contract with an english club without them having to pay £6m in compensation, then that's clearly wrong and he wasn't going to be signing for anyone.

SAF is a douche bag -- nothing in it,... DL is covered,... the lad was just unexpectedly homesick :finger:

However, United are yet to make a formal complaint to the Premier League, who declined to comment on the matter.
Tottenham told BBC Sport that they only made a second approach for Fryers after being made aware that the player was "homesick" in Belgium.
A Spurs spokesman said: "Zeki enjoyed his time at Standard - however, when Standard sacked their manager in November Zeki wasn't part of the new manager's plans which he accepts and understands happens in football.
"Unfortunately, a combination of this and the fact he had become homesick meant he wanted to return to England.
"His representatives made contact with clubs in England. This afforded us a second opportunity to sign the player and as per Fifa's solidarity contribution mechanism, Manchester United will receive 5% of the transfer fee we have paid."

DL: "These are not the droids you're looking for,.... move along." :ninja:

I thought it would be something like this. See Fergie, an innocent explanation to it all...
