Ideally Damiao will act the plum and force Internacional to accept a reduced bid - basically throw his toys out the pram and say "it's always been my dream to play for Tottenham and Internacional are denying me this . . . ya da ya da ya" (although might be more believeable if he replaces 'for Tottenham' for 'in Europe' or 'in the Premier League'
I doubt he'll do this, but it seems to be regular tactic to eventually make stuff happen (apart from if Levy is your chairman - eh Modric!)

I remember talking to you about this comittee bollox a couple of summers back when H was getting it in the neck over some signings. It has to end. Either get in a DoF properly or start really listening to the guy who has to pick them team. DoF or manager type deal. This halfway house is all well and good and has it's merits but plumping for one doesn't mean DL has to jettison his financial concerns with it and it would actually help our tranfer dealings, imo.
It would be most encouraging if AVB has won the battle. When it comes to first team players he should have a big say. Comittee the ever-loving snot out of prospects and yoof players by all means.

DL trying to get LD whilst trying to sell Hudd and Livermore. If he manages to sell those two soon he will probably bring in Holtby early. If he fails to get LD he wont look to buy any other striker this window and Ade is not going anywhere.
