in regards to livermore , i would like to maybe see him given a loan chance at at a Prem CL Villa would be good, i think it be good to see what he can do if given a prolonged stint, one thing he needs to do is up is concentration levels!!!

Think that's a little unfair. Over the years we have signed a few relatively unknown players who have done more than a decent job. Kaboul, BAE to name two. Also Modric was well known throughout Europe but was still a gamble having not played in a big league and some (Wenger) calling into question his height.

Sorry i should have clarified that i meant strikers.

We have interest in a young Danish forward that I've never heard of, plays for Copenhagen. From the sounds of it, he will probably stay there or go to a club where he's more likely to get immediate game time, but rest assured our scouting system is in full flow looking for the next young striking talents.

Quick google says Andreas Cornelius. No idea who he is, but I didnt know who Michu or Benteke were either so...

20 year old striker, this seasons topscorer in the danish league with 18 goals in 32 games - a couple of full caps and a goal or two there as well.. Built like Bendtner, but not nearly as arrogant. Do think he will stay on i Copenhagen, as they are directly qualified to the groupstage of Champions League. wouldn't improve the Spurs time right away anyway.

Not for or against Cornelius, I know nothing about him, but whilst he might be relatively unknown to me, he has got 4 caps for Denmark, which really makes us slightly late on parade for a young talent!

Really? When? I knew it was being proposed but I am sure it is still in force.

it's been kinda scrapped. There's a tribunal, with "football men" on the panel and need to be convinced that player X will add something to the league, rather than the old must've played in X games etc.

Pleaty explained it on radio5 in the winter window, he had to run the rule over a Pulis / Stoke transfer.

Sounds like a better system - maybe we can start to compete with clubs like Porto now! Depends on who the panel is of course!

Pleat's on the panel?

Sorted

I'll have 5 Brazilian youngsters, a couple of Argentinians, a Mongolian, a few Chinese and one from the Moon.

We had a thread/discussion on Cornelius a few months back. I think he would be an interesting signing and worth considering taking a punt on. He's still a bit raw but good in the Penalty area, good header of a ball and absolute rocket of a shot.

Knew he sounded familiar! Cheers mate that was annoying me

One thing that helps with concentration levels is..................................

Being intelligent enough to concentrate in the first place. Livermore, along with Walker = "Now, you wouldn't believe it if I told you, but I can run like the wind blows. From that day on, if I was going somewhere, I was running."

Cornelius is exactly the type of guy we should be after. I worry about Leandro a little ( yes, everybody has been complaining about people saying this today, but its been my feeling all the way ), but its mostly because he is gonna be expensive for someone who is completely untested in the major leagues of Europe. I do trust AVB. Certainly, Cornelius wouldn't cost anywhere near as much, and if we were to bring in both, you'd have to hope that at least one of them would go on to be a beast for us.

So if we are after Cornelius does the mean LD is out the window ..... Again?

He wont be brought in as a starter, where Leandro or Villa would.
Someone said 2 strikers, one youngster being a youngster.

Cornelius would fit the youngster who would be our 3rd choice striker?

I guess this would ideally be a wide forward who could play CF too, a PEA type.. or Clint Dempsey

Just means we aren't pinning all of our transfer hopes on one single target this time. If Leandro doesn't come off, we'll move on to a different target.

True, or maybe FINALLY getting shot of Obika (not taking a pop at him, just think he'd have been used more by now if he was of any use to anyone). Also convinced that one of Ade or Defoe will be gone by the end of August.
