No worries dude, we're all friends here
True, up to a point.
We were asked some while ago to provide an accomodating compartment of the world for Happy Spur as part of the terms of his release. The true detail of what caused this situation to occur is too bizarre, too jaw-dropping and too heart-wrenching to go into here but hey, he's doing alright y'know? It rips you up inside knowing that without us, the loyal SC ITKers, he'd only be left with the company of some lonely Yucatan loggers and their self-employed drug mules.
We're here to help.

Villa at Barca.... Games 116 / Goals 48 / Assists 17 still underwhelming?

Fairly meaningless as Barca and Madrid have been walking games every week in La Liga for a few seasons now. A lot of the goals will be in hammerings where the opposition gave up after 20 minutes.

For comparison, Messi scored 46 in La Liga last season, Villa got 10 in 28. Did Barca pay £34m for that? It's on a par with Defoe, underwhelming.

I expect Villa to return to Valencia.

Can you perhaps see the issue with these words?

A better comparison would be that Carlton Cole scored 2 in 27 last year. This is the kind of striker we have been linked to in the past.

I think if we land Villa it will become us looking to shift Defoe. I think Villa, Adebayor and hopefully a younger Wide-Forward/Striker type would give us the perfect blend of talents.

It wouldn't be too loaded for one spot as Villa and the youngster could on occasion go out wide to get Adebayor some matches as well.

I think that would give us our best attacking corps moving forward.

You didn't seem to read beyond them.

Madrid and Barca were both sides that received a battering in the semis of the CL. Both had strikers regularly setting goal scoring records in their league for the past 2 seasons. Yet Villa's contribution as Barca sailed away with the league was on a par with Defoe's(I checked and 2/3 of his goals were in 4/5/6 hammerings as I suspected).

I think we'll see Villa's arrival as likely as was that of Rivaldo's, Fabiano's and Benzema's.

Things I've just learned from the Brazilian line up:
1) Paulinho has a very shiny face
2) the Brazilian national anthem has more words than music.

Sometimes it's simple: David Villa has won everything in the game and regularly started for the dominant national side of the era.
He would enhance the squad.

You also have to consider the global impact a signing like Villa would be, not only would he enhance the team but he would send a clear message that we're willing to make moves. Then you consider his winning attitude, his ability to help our younger strikers too and you have a win-win situation.

Villa would also teach the youngsters like Coulthirst a thing

Villa: Let me tell you something.
Coulhirst: Yes. I am all ears.
Villa: This Messi. He is....how you say.....a dick-weasel
Coulhirst: should I write that down David?
Villa: Jes. It is most important wisdom.

Okay now, I have somehow linked Villa (maybe doing the voice in my head) to Inigo Montoya and that means I've never wanted a player more.

Would love us to sign Villa but like others I think in the PL as a lone striker would prefer someone like a Negredo or Benteke type, with villa as a WF. Particularly if our midfield 3 has no real creative impetus.

Lol

Andy Carroll tried to get a move to Newcastle and here. Was very much prepared to take a lot less than what the porno brothers have just agreed to pay him.

West ham have literally done a risdale with this one

In other news, lets hope Paulinho picks up a knock and Bernard gets no playing time. I think we might get BOTH!!

I'm starting to wonder whether Sandro was even injured at all. He has been our evangelist
