I really can't see us signing Higuain. I'd love it but really can't see it.

What about Bony ?

Aren't Swansea having issues confirming a fee with Vitesse? I think I saw today that they've offered around £13m but Vitesse want more.

Don't know how well he'd take to our league but Laudrup has done well at picking out players so far and if we tried to pip them to it I'm sure the player would choose us over them.

Beat me by seconds Bomber, couldn't believe nobody had made a joke on it this long...!

No it was 2 mins. Now stop mocking my bad grammar when you have no concept of time. (y)

Only joking. Bomber smashed it by the way. Didn't think I would laugh tonight so well done.

Please guys, I've only just come to terms with the Villa news, don't put the thought of Higuain into my head :(

In all seriousness, our next move will be very interesting. There doesn't seem to be a glut of decent, affordable strikers available right now, so I wonder who Franco/ Levy/ AVB have up their sleeve. I'm guessing we'll get some whispers before the week is out, its important now that we move quickly in the market if we are serious about blending our new signings into the squad and getting off to a good start.

Oh, and I want us to fucking smash Arsenal at their place early doors.

By the way, I know it won't happen, but if we somehow managed to get Higuain and Benteke, I'll donate £20 to SC and shedloads of jism to Tasha.

That's kind of cheap mate don't you think? What are you? Homeless???

If we signed higuain and benteke the minimum we should all donate would be 500 to SC and 500 to THFC

Benteke fits the bill perfectly for a Spurs signing. He's kind of like the Siggurdson of strikers. Very good but not good enough to take the next step onto becoming challengers. A Villa or a Soldado potentially could be but if the latest ITK are to be believed they are too old to make business sense.

Having said that, watching this Benteke does look absolute class!!

The boy is a beast, he has pace, power and some skills, he also holds the ball up very well. If we can get him we will be laughing as he is only going to improve. The only thing that is a worry is that he isn't the most proficient finisher, but he will score gosals for us if we can get him. I'd hate to be in a team playing Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho and Benteke.

I don't get why people keep saying this. He is a big strong lad, he is quickish and gets himself into the scoring zone well enough, but his hold up play is really not very good. He gives the ball away quite a lot and in the two games against us he was quite poor.

I think as a pure No.9 you could make a case, as good as is possible based on one season. But I've watched him possibly a dozen times maybe 10 full games and haven't been impressed with his "hold up" play in deeper areas at all. He gives the ball away a lot (his completion rate for example is 64%, Adebayor even last year when not in form was 80%). He's strong but his technique is pretty ordinary.

I can understand people maybe wanting him based on his in box performance last year, but his play outside the box was very ordinary bordering on poor most of the time.
