Who would you have put in the centre? Options are limited. Holtby is basically all we have who could fill in there.

Funny old side. Bloody hope that Lamela, Erikson and Holtby are being rested for a big performance at the weekend and not simply dropped.

Although that team selection made me feel young again (as you don't get selections like that since the 90's)
It's a personal preference. Hate outright wingers so two of them in a rigid 4-4-2 (which it has to be with 2 strikers) is my personal nightmare.
Irrespective of how early it is.

Am I the only one pleased to see us playing with Adebayor and another up front? Could work a treat. Rather it was Soldado though. I'd be genuinely intrigued to see how they'd play together, if Ade was on form.

I am not surprised by this tbh, When in need of a failsafe, Revert back to what you know. Not overly impressed by that line-up, But it can do the job.
