FFS give Sherwood a break! We haven't even played 1 match and everyone going mental. If it goes wrong then slate the guy but at least give him a chance to try something he believes will work.

I'm sorry but taking over not playing our mot creative players and going 4-4-fucking 2 deserves the rants. It is like saying that every manager in World Football barring a few old British managers are doing something wrong in playing a possession game based around a 4-5-1/4-3-3

Eriksen and Lamela have hardly gotten game time in the last month, and now people think they are being saved for Southampton away? Let's get real here. Lamela isn't even on the bench for goodness sake.

This is a big match, a quarterfinal cup tie with a chance to win a trophy, at home against a side that humiliated us, yet we leave Soldado, Eriksen, Lamela, and Holtby out? Where's the creativity going to come from?

Man city have played a 4-4-2 (ish at least) most matches this season, scored 47 and conceeded 18 in 16 games... it's not entirely dead as a formation yet. You need the right personnel though...

F*** me! Redknapp all over again. If Lamela can't make the bench against Wham in the cup then I don't understand buying him.
Defoe will score 3, start on Sunday & miss his chances. Soldado gets more demoralised & wants out.

Actually pretty happy with the team. Lets at least give them a few minutes before making assumptions.

Madness, how so? Gives 100 percent for the club every single time he puts on our shirt and is one of the best right backs England have.

One of the best right backs England have is totally irrelevant given the dearth of quality in that position.

He gives 100%, which is good. But he's prone to serious lapses of judgment, which is bad. And not what I personally would want from a captain.

a 4-4-2 when you've got Aguero, Negredo, Nasri and Silva in it isn't this.

I don't care about other teams and other formations! Give him a chance and if it goes wrong then rant all you like.

I've just had a quick scroll up and it seems people aren't happy with this, why???????????

Our hands are tied in terms of our defenders and thus meaning one of our DM's has to play CB

He has put our 2 best wingers ON THE WING and he has our 2 best forwards up front, sorted.

Can't wait for this. Rose, Walker, Townsend, Lennon, with Ade and Defoe up front? I bet that lot manage more than zero shots on goal!

Exactly, they have Aguero dropping off into the 10 position, we'll have Defoe.

I thought Sherwood and Ramsey were supposed to use 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 in the U21s?

Yeah, but not really a classic 4-4-2. Their "wingers" are playing more central.
