Any fans?

Should be the best season for many a year in terms of being so open, or so it promises anyway. Schumacher retiring has made it easier for a couple more drivers to win the championship, there could be a four way race.

As a recap, the double world champion Alonso has joined Mclaren, a team that didnt win a single race last season. He'll be partnered by Hamilton, a promising english rookie.
Ferrari will be driven by Raikkonen, the guy I think is the best out there, and Massa who had a good last half of the season last year, driving just as fast as Schumacher. The Renaults are missing Alonso, will probably be hit and miss. And Button has stated publicly that his car is shit, so dont expect too much from Honda early on. BMW have shown good pace, but its not just about going fast.

Raikkonen is on pole, Alonso second, Heidfeld(BMW) third, and Hamilton fourth.

The race starts 3am and is on itv

kimi is going to walk to the title. Looks like the ferrari is the best car by a mile.

I like the Spiker team. Well, I mean they look cool, not that they will be any good.

It wasnt the best race ever, a stroll in the park for Raikkonen, but F1 is all about developing the car as the season goes on. Ferrari have hit the ground running but it wont all be like today

Hamilton looks like hes gonna cope at that front end, would love to see him do Alonso

i think we could easily have a 3 horse race for the title between raikkonen, alonso and hamilton

mclaren seemingly have the constructors title as #1 goal

i guess most of your were still blurry eyed when the race started in Sepang this afternoon Malaysia time. well, Mercedes made their mark with Alonso and Hamilton capturing 1st and 2nd, with Raikkonen finishing 3rd.

Hamilton definitely doesn't drive like a rookie...

I did the same paulspurs and get yourself a thingy like I have, they don't have a Mclaren one for alonso yet? it's certainly become a lot fresher since schumi left. I am a BIG JV fan and this is an interesting season to say the least.

What are people's thoughts on Heikki? Apparently he is meant to be good! But I have ALWAYS liked Alonso

I went to Silverstone in 1997!! 10 years ago and I was just at the Copse corner there and you could see my flag on the tele!! LOVE f1! I subsribe to F1 Racing and have had their mags (bar one) since when they started!

Reminiscent of Jacques for me. He's gonna be better than Button will Louis, I think Button will fade now, he had the chance but didn't exactly deliver Eek

I like Heidfeld, the Saubers are a very underestimated team as both BMW AND Sauber in my opinion. I think Alonso is only getting into a new team in all honesty, I think renault had him as their main man so undoubtly dropped points.
