This is coming from a new source, The Goat is hearing that Defoe is done and signed for 13 million dollars and he will be earning 110,000 dollars a week. Only thing yet to be decided is January or summer.

The Goat hears that in addition to the offer from the MLS there is another offer on the table who our source speculates is from a mid table prem side that will guarantee him playing time in the lead up to the world cup. It's up to him what he does, the club won't stand in his way should he want to leave, but won't be upset if he stays.

Not transfer related but something worth posting regardless. The Goat hears that AVB had to go; he'd alienated practically everyone at the club—medical staff, backroom staff, ground staff, you name them, he'd terminally pissed them off over the course of the season. Things had got so bad Levy had no choice, even though there was virtually no chance of getting an experienced replacement.

The Goat hears that Lescott is a serious option and that it all depends on what City do in the market. He needs game time with World Cup but City don't want to loan and want a fee as his contract is running down. However, we are not the only club looking at him.
