Not sure if the Daily Mail is a source some of the ardent rumour readers on here takes seriously....but here is yet another player mention.
Do I believe it? Nah.

Fulham hope to beat big clubs to Vietto
Fulham have been asking about various strikers around Germany for this window. Kaiserslautern's Simon Zoller, plus Kevin Wimmer and Yannick Gerhardt at Cologne, have all been discussed.

However, one that they would like to sign for the summer should they stay up is Luciano Vietto.
The 20-year-old Argentine is causing a stir at Racing Club where he was brought through by former coach Diego Simeone and is looked after by Diego Maradona's former agent Jorge Cyterszpiler.

Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been to watch him since but Fulham hope they can lure him with the prospect of regular football and London. Vietto has a dual Italian passport

but competition could yet come from Tottenham.

Although they are keen to find British, Tottenham do not want to skimp on quality. Franco Baldini may work on a deal for Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic for this window but Vietto is one with an eye for the future.

He's been playing like shit lately, and he lost his starting place for Racing

Good potential, but I think they would want something like 10m for him. And I'm not sure he's worth that

Are you based in Argentina ?
If so, what's reaction to Lamela's Spurs career. Do people even talk about him ?

Yes, I'm from Buenos Aires.

He's not a media loved player, so there's no much news about him in the papers. Not that he's got the media against, but rather that they are indifferent to him.
There have been some articles about possible loans, but no more than that.

He was very shy even in his first interview with Spurs TV. I really dont think he has the mental toughness to fight. Probably the first time in his career, he is dropped from XI & squad. I would be surprised that if he bounces back from this set back.

He may be shy with words, but he's very strong mentally.
He carried in his shoulders as a 18yr old boy, the biggest team in Argentina, in the most disastrous season of its history. The pressure you have playing for a team like River or Boca is ten times the one he has atm. You don't have families sitting in the stands, you have angry mobs jumping. That's a regular tournament. Imagine how it was the season the club got relegated....
Trust me, he may look shy, but he's really strong mentally.

Really? Didn't expect that at all...he's young, blessed with skills (a given), at the very least a world cup squad hopeful, and at this age already played/playing for couple big clubs in Europe --- plus hes not exactly bad looking: one would think he will be much more popular than what you just described..."indifference"...you guys are really spoiled by all the young talents that came up all over the past few years.
