It's certainly disappointing that despite having clear issues with finding the net last season we haven't changed our attacking options.

Bet hope Soldado suddenly remembers he is a striker.

Either some of you need Brain transplant or have exceed ur bed time.

we have a new manager with 5 year plan, who has assessed the squad, getting rid of players he doesn't believe fits his plans. FAN favourite or not but sandro hasn't done it for a few seasons coupled with injuries.

Holtby and Siggy haven't delivered for us.

5year plan in place, he is starting with the back, moulding the side from the back. Ok we didn't get any additional creativity players, I guess if we cant break the team we wont lose the game.

so you want him to go all out buying players considering he hasn't even had a full season in charge to know the players fully.

not any more he isnt and more to the point he cannot move the ball fast or accurately enough for the new system.
I'll miss the personality that is Sandro but he is a yellow card in the first 15 minutes and you spend the rest of the game fearing the second.

Agreed mate. The mood would be different if it was a week earlier too, off the back of spanking QPR and seeing the early signs of Poch's style coming through. As well as those you list we also signed Lloris and Vertonghen to new contracts this summer.

I'm glad there's still some logical thinkers here.

Don't know how to include Marki spurs post which is similar to yours so this reply to both. I'm sure your right in that Poch wants to work with a smaller squad but there has been no improvement in quality of player. This need for improvement has been recognised by the majority of the regular (sensible) contributers so we have not improved ourchances of competing. Not a pop, just an observation.

We had/have many players who have under performed over the last season. Getting those players performing will be an improvment.

If thats it for this Window then now its up to our Coach to get us playing as a team.

We all know Schneiderlin and J Rod would be Poch targets from the start. Rather than go get than Levy thinks he'll wait and get them cheaper come deadline day. Meanwhile Pool come in and buy all round them, as do Arsenal. Pathetic. Once again Levy has been Levyed. All this nonsense he's great at negotiating.

He has never been able to negotiate at the top table. Levy......I cant be bothered. Night bros

Am I the only one who feels bad for Stambouli. His transfer today has basically been completely forgotten about.

Agreed. Here's a player who offers a new element to what we currently have, who has been rated very strongly by those in France who watch him often. But because we didn't spend an exorbitant amount on a player at a locked down Saints, we just forget about this?

I'm excited about what Stambouli has to offer. We need more energy and movement in midfield, and it seems he offers that. Excited to see what he can do.

Keep in mind, we also now have Broomfield on board. If he believes a guy can make it in the Prem immediately, then heads should swivel. Look at what's happened with Dier ffs. Take heart folks.

Did I really read someone compare Paulinho to Lampard?

This window does strange things to some people

we hear this way too often. i refuse to believe moutinho, leandro, musacchio, oscar, villa, rodriguez, schneiderlin & countless others all failed because we were unlucky and not because levy's too busy mistaking net profit for net gain

Say no to Ridsdale Management.

I would not be so angry if our rivals hadn't splashed the cash and strengthened but every single one that finished above us and the one that finished directly below us have upgraded massively while we have at best stood still and at worst regressed

Our rivals are Swansea, Newcastle now for 7th place instead of our rivals being Liverpool and Arsenal for 4th

It is a totally unacceptable situation and a rightful cause of anger
You've seen A&C's (x2) links right? Take it there. Bored of you now.

With Ade going to the ACN in Jan you gotta hope thats when striker business will be done as theirs no real rush atm with Soldado Ade and Kane and with Poch only going with 1 uptop. Hopefully he can work with both Lennon and Townsend and we can get through until Jan and then take a fresh look at things.

Sold Pav for a profit. Less nonsense; more like due a knighthood.
I don't believe that for a second. I'm absolutely certain that all the media outlets reported that we bought him for approx. £13m-£14m, and I'm fairly certain that I remember hearing those same outlets saying we sold him for about £9m. (Which, to be fair, was still more than he was worth.)

Poch was the biggest signing of our summer. After AVB and Sherwood he was much needed.

Squad is decent enough. They just need to work fucking hard from now.

If you listened to JJ people wouldn't have these high expectations. The fans do it to themselves because they're fucking masochists.
Absolutely spot on! Problem is though, most stick their fingers in their ears and close their eyes when @JJetset speaks, because they can't handle anything but positive news! I used to be one of those, but JJ words of wisdom took me to the light :D

Problem is if we were selling every player who hasn't delivered for us we would he left with about 4 players. We definitely needed to lose some weight which we have but last season we lacked that 'spark' or star quality or whatever you call it. Would have been nice to try and address that.

It makes perfect sense.. You have 18-19 senior outfield players, leaving room for academy players to graduate & that will show enthusiasm in training & want to progress & put pressure on senior players. It's not good having an overload of players who get disillusioned when there not involved, having less senior players eases the tension & breeds confidence

Hope Levy hires you as his spin doctor.

They're building us a fucking stadium and built us one of the best training grounds in the world. Is that not ambition?

No, thats an investment, nothing to do with the bods playingbthe football. Anyway when this stadium does get bult, how many of us are gonna be able to afford to watch a competetive match inthe poxy thing?!! FFS, I havent been able to afford to go for years!!!
