With Ancelotti being sacked by Madrid and Klopp available, there are some big managers looking for work who will surely have suitors in the premier league.

Im a bit surprised that Madrid didn't go for Klopp, i thought he would of given them the style of football they love. Think Benitez is an odd choice in that regard.

Rodgers and Pelligrini look in trouble imo. If City don't go for Klopp this summer i could see them trying to tempt Pep next year. Also i wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool go for FDB.

What does everybody think, who will end up where?

If Pellegrini isn't gone in a couple of weeks then I think that's a telling sign that City are holding out for Guardiola next year. Klopp doesn't really have any outstanding options at the moment, if nothing changes it'll be a sabbatical I think. I just hope he doesn't end up at Goons in a years time - I can't see him considering Lollerpool.

Mirror reporting - Bielsa to West Ham. That would make me sick!

Agree about city waiting for Pep, I'd say this is nailed on.

Klopp is an odd one as a bit of an unknown in terms of premier league, Ancelotti is the big one. Sadly I think we will have to accept that our rivals will strengthen mansgerially and hope that when Levy gets board of Poch or when Poch gets bored of us, there are still some good options out there.

Think it's funny how the big 'uns are all saying they'll be taking time out, it's almost like the Liverpool & west ham jobs are being given the brush off and they are waiting for something else....

I think everyone's waiting for Pep to go to Man City, because then the Bayern job opens up as well and pieces start moving around. I wouldn't be surprised if Ancelotti's at Bayern next year and Pep at Man City.

I still think City would be stupid to opt for Pep rather than Klopp though. Klopp's style is so much more suited to this league I think, and Guardiola's only succeeded with teams that already are full of world class players. Klopp built the Dortmund team up into league champions which is more impressive to me.

My prediction at this moment would be Ancelotti > Bayern, Guardiola > City, Klopp > Arsenal all in a year's time. Hopefully Frank De Boar comes to the Premier League as well, I think it's important to have the best managers in England. The quality of the league has slid in recent seasons. Plus it's more interesting and entertaining when it's more competitive.

I reckon Dortmunds wobble this year may have put them off, that's even if they were interested. City are starting to copy Barcas model setup, so naturally they'd want the man who was hugely successful with it. I actually think he'd be great there.

Dortmund's wobble was because half their team was injured. They were rock bottom at one point and finished the season in 7th. That's pretty good going! He'd been there 7yrs and had come to the end of the cycle, his best players kept being poached because of their release clauses and still they had - his first season and this season aside - been genuine challengers to Bayern. It's a great record.

City should go for someone like Ancelotti if they have dreams of Pep next season. Ancelotti isn't a long term appointment and City hasn't been a long-term job so far. Even Guardiola isn't really a long-term appointment, 3 years or so and then he'll burn out or get bored.

Klopp is a far more long-term option, or at least should be, for someone.. maybe even Arsenal when Wenger finally gives up. Although Klopp says he's having 6mths off and Ancelotti seems to have a back injury that needs surgery, so he'll be away for a bit. No one wants to manage West Ham, I guess! (Bilic, probably)

I'm not. The way Klopp built Dortmund is totally at odds with the way Real Madrid operate. Benitez isn't a flashy choice (but then neither were Ramos and Pellegrini) but he has a proven track record of winning trophies and besides Simeone last season he was the last manager to win La Liga as manager of a team other than Barcelona or Real.

Yeah I guess your right, it's just Real fans were not happy with Mourinho and his pragmatic approach, I think Benitez is quite similar. But then Real fans don't really know what they want.
