In similar vein as above, Poch's man-management skills leave a lot to be desired and all of the outcasts could have helped us this season (Capoue or Stambouli as a DM, Lennon to add pace, Adebayor as cover for Kane when he came off vs Stoke). I agree with punishing certain types of behaviour but it appears Poch is too stubborn for his own good.

The outcasts are there to be sold to raise money to buy the players Poch has asked for.

It's up to Levy to make that happen.

Here's an unpopular but genuinely held opinion of mine: I know you all might find this hard to believe, but I think Lamela gets a bad deal. I think his performaces haven't been anywhere near as bad as people make out. I definitely think we should keep him.

We're doing this totally wrong. Poch is the wrong manager for spurs and our recruitment policy is the wrong approach.

If we try to beat Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea at there own game we WILL lose. We don't have the resources to compete with them at there own game. We can't have the trendy managers, we can't have the trendy players and we can't play the trendy way. We should pretty do the opposite of what everyone else is doing. Play 4-4-2, play wingers, play 4 center backs, christ play a sweeper. We should be trying to do something different. The most obvious one to me not least because there massively under valued is play wingers to start with. But what we do is up for debate. But surely the first step is to understand this emulation and following of the trends is destined to fail(in the long term at least).

Poch, not through his own fault, is too trendy to be truly successful at spurs. And I'm not saying sack him. What would be the point if we were just going to repeat the same mistakes we have already made. But we could and should be doing this differently.

Lennon and Bale. They did ok.

There's nothing better than pulling a ball back across the goal for creating chances.

I have a feeling that the retention of Lloris and Kane is going to be held up as the major success of the Transfer Window.

Also that the clearing of the decks of unwanted players allowing more game time for the potential talent we have coming up from the youth development program.

That made me laugh. I needed that today. Cheers

Adebayor would really help this team and could've/shouldve been a major part of this season's squad.

Poch shouldve spoken to him early on- in June/July, and said "son, I don't care what's happened in the past-- you are an integral part of our team and you will be called upon to deliver this season. This is the final year of your contract-- so whatever happens, you are playing to benefit yourself in the long run. Let's turn this around, and let's get you and Harry Kane working together to form one of the more lethal strike combinations in the Prem. Let's shock the world."

Then he should've played him with Kane in a 4-4-2, on the regular. Ade would naturally do his "drift-out-wide-left" thing, leaving space for Kane in the middle, yet at the same time giving us a strong, goal-scoring presence up front in support of him. Would it definitely have worked? No- of course not- but it should've been tried. There's a player in there- and one who could contribute for the right kind of gaffer. Redknapp would've utilized him, and so would've Sherwood- and I assure you that we would be better off for them having figured it out.

Indeed, if Ade would've played in all three of our initial games this year, I guarantee you that we would be on 2-4 more points than we currently have.

We won't get a DM, we won't get Berahino, Embolo or Martial!! We will end up with Borini!!
Now I'm sure that will be an unpopular opinion. :)

You know how Spurs get linked to every potentially available striker? Right now every one of those rumours is true.

I see the positives in his play and why you would think think that but...

For me I felt Lamela needed to do a Ronaldo/Bale and bulk up - part of his game seems to be leaning on people, trying to use his non-existent body strength in combination with his quick feet etc. etc. but because he has the upper body strength of an anorexic he just ends up falling over... a lot. This was the season he needed to do that IMHO; he hasn't and I cannot believe the coaching staff wouldn't of suggested it so he must be unwilling or incapable, which is why I'd say probably get rid of him.

I think that a 1-year loan of Adebayor to Man Utd (for the final year of his Spurs contract) would be of great benefit to Tottenham, Adebayor and Man Utd.

Absolutely.

Eriksen and Soldado also needed a bit more body strength.
