Pleased for Davies, deserves his spot, even if rose v lennon would have been interesting

Don't agreecwith wee toms inclusion like many others it seems. Lost it a god few times in tight areas at watford in front of our defence and whilst mason and bentaleb have the same weakness i think they're both better than the wee lad especially in the tackle and air.

Don't trust the coach blindly like some, even if we are exceeding expectations to date whilst others like cfc mufc and lfc are all under achieving. Letsssee where we are after the cup ties.

Tough today with no mousa and son excluded again imo, ctake a point now.

What do you mean it's about time we slipped up? We lost at home to Newcastle 3 weeks ago FFS.
This is spurs, when do we win 4 in a row? Can't see us winning this one with all the other teams around us winning + they're a very decent side.

Would take a draw but really hope we scrape a win. This result will say a lot about our top 4 and future title credentials, the likes of man.city, arsenal, man.u and Chelsea of old would win this match.

So are people allowed to not rate a player? Just to be clear.

I think we should all 'rate away'. Tone is important and many fans (I'm not saying you!), 'like what they like', which is an attitude that allows no room for change of circumstance, nuance or context. Compared to professional coaches, fans are rank amateurs and will inevitably only have a partial and (understandably) fevered view of a player and the team. They can and should have a view of course!

Moussa - out for 3 weeks - He is the heartbeat of our success - a real concern for me and wee Tommy ain't no Moussa replacement either like for like or tactically by pushing Delle back. Show's the importance of a top squad if we are truly to compete with the big boys. I know Bentley has been out for a while - but I feel he would be stronger than Tommy today in the midfield. Have to trust MoPo - but feeling anxious. Take a point? For sure.

Again, why is the choice between Carroll and Mason/Bentaleb? We've seen Alli/Dier play in a CM2 and play well there numerous times, so the choice is Carroll/Mason/ or Son. To me, it's a no brainer. Wet surface favors pace and dribbling, the latter we lack lack without Dembele. Good thing happen when Son/Eriksen/Lamela are out there together.

What I don't get is if Poch has a problem with Bentaleb, why would he have him over Ryan in the matchday squad?

Genuinely confusing.

Well City had this fixture about the same time last year and they drew! :D

Much rather have seen

Dier - Alli

Lamela Eriksen Son

Kane

Carroll and Eriksen are way too lightweight and similar, don't see how they will work in the same line-up, happily eat humble pie but don't think I will be.

I sincerely hope I am proved very wrong. I believe Carroll is a crazy choice, and have addressed my reasons (lightweight not effecting games overall). He is in now so MOM or close will do me and a win.

You do realize we could end up losing the game and there could be another reason for us doing so other than Carroll? Sorry just floating that possibility.

Only 3 points from 6th. Need a win, big match. Goodison hard place to go, will be pleased with a draw but predict 2-1 Everton. Dope. COYS.

Can't wrap my brain around the Eriksen - Alli - Lamela at all. I could at least understand the Eriksen - Dembele - Lamela despite disagreeing with it, but this AM3 just makes no sense to me, despite being all players I favor.

No doubt if we lose, people will be calling for Roy to call Barry and Cleverly up

Carroll is good for this game. He provides a goal threat, which means opposition will want to mark him out. Perhaps more of a goal threat than some others. Which should give the likes of Eriksen more space (provided we pass incisively). Everton play in true Roberto style, to attack and have a ropey defence. Initially I was thinking a draw, but I'm edging more to a win. The pressing formula will override them I think.

Surprised to see Carroll picked again. Looks like we are going to try and keep the ball. Glad Eriksen starts, he is due a goal and can influence these kind of games.

Fingers crossed.
