Well it looks like sanabria is joining Betis for 8 million so we clearly did not want to sign him. Therefore surely we must be confident on finalising the deal for Janssen.

Don't think so mate. They give us euros, which will be worth less sterling than prior. Either way it's bad for sterling.
Hey, don't "mate" me when you are clearly mistaken

Pounds is "worth less" in relation to euro? So that means you have to have to pay MORE pounds now to fetch 1 euro, right?
If you have to pay MORE to get one euro, it also means that you GET more pounds if you are in possession of euros that you want to exchange for pounds. If you paid 0.75 pounds for a currency earlier, and you now pay 0.85 for said currency. It means that if you sell something, for instance a fringe player, for 10 euro, that deal is now worth 8.5 pounds, as opposed to the earlier value of 7.5 pounds.
Weak domestic currency is always beneficial for export, and Spurs is in the business of exporting footballers (in addition to other operations).

I think Levy has seen how much Utd have spent and Chelsea have spent, added to the fact Liverpool have Klopp now, City have Guardiola, and Arsenal have trillions to spend and has concluded a CL place is impossible so is thinking 'what is the point in spending money to get 6th or 7th' so has effectively closed the wallet, he is just going through the motions to pretend to fans he is active

Im at work so will add more later..
Just spoke to my mate re his text last night. We're trying to do this with add-ons and extras to reduce the fee AZ want(it's being considered). Said we are moving in the right direction and all parties want this done. Everything else is done(and has been for a while) and once a bid is accepted this will be concluded very quickly. Says on a scale of 1-10 of this happening this is a 9.5. He added... That's even taking the "levy factor" into account.

Levy and his instalment plans and play as you earn program drives his negotiator nuts..... :ROFLMAO: and makes all the fans :mad::nailbiting:

We will get this done bec there is clearly limited options below 20M pounds.

Could also mean that the teams with new players , new managers take time to gel to there new ideas .We're already a team that's geled .i think champions league is a possibility again this year .

The Janssen deal should not be a deal that is difficult to get over the line, there is no auction for him, there are no bigger fish after him so far as we are aware, it should be a straightforward deal to complete if we are serious about getting him

Either we pay the asking price or we don't, i don't understand why its dragging in so long

Taking everything into account, media reports and ITK I'm feeling very positive. It seems AZ and ourselves consider this deal as a certainty and it's all about agreeing a good deal for both of us.
