All of their contrived, made-up stories of Lazio fans' love for West Ham. It's so obvious none of those stories actually happened. The one claiming to see a crossed hammers tattoo with the Lazio badge over the top made me laugh. Why are they all making up lies to make themselves feel like they've made an impact in other countries? Literally nobody cares about these tinpot ****s.
The phrase "pics or it didn't happen" was made for stories like that.

Not all contrived mate, they do indeed have a close relationship with the 'Irriducibili'

It's not made up

Lazio fans actually do love west ham

I have cousins from Rome and one of them is a lazio season ticket holder with about 6 of his friends

I've been to several games over the years whenever I'm in Rome and I can confirm that you will see a lot of lazio fans wearing west ham shirts and singing west ham songs (as well as a hybrid between chelsea and Liverpool song)

The only reason for this is Di Canio is a Lazio icon and he had such a high profile successfull period at West Ham that the lazio fans merged their support with west ham

They also love chelsea it seems so all in all lazio fans are just.... a lovely bunch (hence my preference for my other cousin and uncle who are Roma fans)

So it's fine for me to stab people as long as I'm not wearing jackboots and marching into Poland when I do it?

What??

I'm not talking about our fans stabbing people, I'm talking about some of our hooligan element.

I know exactly what you meant mate, it was just the way you worded it. I should probably have added one of those emoticon thingys to show I wasn't being serious.

My wife (polish) cousin supports crakovia, West Ham and lazio. He said there's a thing with West Ham and lazio, because of di canio.

Lazio are the poor relations of the "bigger" clubs in Italy. Their stature is overblown over here due to the Gazza connection and small amount of success they achieved in ( relatively ) recent years due to a sugar daddy owner at the time. They are light years behind the big 3 over there.

Why would anyone take pride in being liked by fans of other clubs anyway? Some say Ajax fans like Tottenham. I couldn't care less if they do!

It doesn't surprise me

The whole fascist salute thing he did has made him even more of an icon to the lazio "ultras"

There was also an fan who was high profile for the fans/ultras and was also a radio dj or something (I think it was a lazio fan pirate station but my cousin and his friends couldn't really tell me in a way I could completely understand thanks to their shit English and my non existent Italian skills) who was killed by police and they all basically worshipped this big flag with an artist drawing of him on that hung over the stands (and would sing songs about him while doing Nazi salutes

I would post the pics I have of it but I'm in las vegas now and can't access them

It's strange, I've taken my gf to a couple of games too (she's half jamaican so it was a bit of a concern according to my cousin that there would be some trouble) and they were all very friendly to us on the one hand while hurling racial abuse at the black players on the pitch in Italian on the other hand

I find their racsim hard to label, they seem to hate blacks yet accept and even love their own black players while still being quick to hurl racist abuse at them any time they miss a shot or make a defensive mistake

All in all they're just not a nice club and not a nice group of fans. West Ham are welcome to them as far as I'm concerned and Lazio and Chelsea seem like a match made in heaven

My wife says Slask Wroclaw piss all over all three........and, on this one occasion, I'm inclined to agree with her.

Picked up a draw against Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League qualifier tonight. Would like them to stay in this competition as long as possible. Nothing like travelling all over Eastern Europe on a Thursday night and then playing on a Sunday. They don't have the squad to cope and it will almost certainly goes against them the longer they're in it.

Given the thread has taken a slightly interesting tangent, I'll throw in that my Serbian girlfriend and her family are all Partizan fans so I have adopted them as a second club as it were. I felt a bit funny about his after the 'Only Jews And Horses' banner at the game a couple of years ago at WHL but tbh I was at the Partizan game on Sunday, shooting video and photos behind the goal infront of the Gravedigger ultras, was in the Gravediggers shop today inside the stadium ( ultras having a shop in the stadium is funny ) and have told many many Partizan fans over the last ten days I'm a Spurs fan and to a person they have all been complimentary about us and say they hate the teams like Manure, Liverpool Chelsea etc.

I don't really know the full story behind the banner but it only takes a few idiots for it to happen and I guess could have been construed as a little poorly thought out humour if you wanted to be kind.

Red Star fans are the far more right wing ones.

Although they lost the lead lead I'd still expect them to get through pretty comfortably after the home leg
