Must be just me but these daft figures are putting me right off football. When the rest of us mortals struggle on there's just something revulting about this.

A bit like spurs ripping us off on a pre-season friendly. Given the numbers sold, I may not be alone in my thoughts.
Spurs didn't set the prices for the pre-season friendly.

Spurs aren't ripping you off - Relevent Sports are ripping you off...

Or should I say, they are trying to rip you off. If you don't pay, you can't get ripped off.

You're clearly stating facts. However it merely reflects a belief that some in the football world believe this bubble won't burst. There's still something very sickening happening in football.

I am pretty sure he was offered the 120k+ to stay, but just like with several other examples, some players set a deliberately high figure to stay, or refuse much higher offers just because they want to leave. It is widely reported (including by Koeman) that he wants a new challenge, as well as the ITK that RB and THFC are already in agreement. Any hold up will be down to Everton, or maybe at a push his post op recovery.

Everton will hope they can still entice a Chelsea, or other club to join in with a bidding war to get maximum profit and as well, have little interest in helping a direct rival (in their eyes) in their quest for top 4 (i.e. they are in no rush to sell him seeing as they don't need the cash to get their targets).

As long as there are no issues with the recovery, I am confident that Ross will join us and is happy to accept the THFC wage structure. He wants an England slot and surely views working under Poch with the other England lads (who wil be watched closelsy by the England staff this season) as the best way to do it.
He's certainly not going to accept less than 100k and Levy will not pay that in a million years and he wont pay Evertons asking price anyway even if he comes down to 35 mil.

I would say that he will accept less than £100k and Levy will pay that within two years and he has already come down past £35mil, it's all about opinions isn't it.

Thing is, if Barkley only wants to play for Spurs, Chelsea et al can offer what they like but ultimately Everton will have to accept our valuation or lose him for nothing next year. If Barkley only wants to come to us...

Mirror reporting he's now valued at £35m...

Another few days and if no-one else steps in we should negotiate a deal for about £25m plus perhaps some add ons I reckon........
Seems like Everton alerting other suitors. Siggy movement imminent and trying one last time for a bidding war but now at a more reasonable price instead of the 'hands-off' price of 50M. Still, if RB only wants us this will still carry on.

Quite excited about Ross Barkley. I feel he could be the player to take over from Dembele eventually.

You red my mind mate, was about to post same thing.

This season he's being signed for depth / rotation, throughout season can see him playing dembele role also anywhere behind Kane. He'll have the opportunity to show us where he fits in.
Dembele is a class act, probably my best spurs player and i can't think of many players who could replace him.
Hopefully poch can train and develop Barkley into a top player, because the potential is 100% there.

Thing with Barkley, if we'd have had the chance to sign him 2 years ago, we'd have fallen over ourselves trying to get him in. He's not regressed but not pushed on, Poch has made better players with half the talent.

For that to occur it'll mean him playing and learning the craft of a deeper lying CM. Which will mean over the next 2 years him playing whenever Dembele doesn't, which means Harry Winks won't get starts. If this signing stops Harry Winks getting starts I am so against it.

Winks has everything to be Dembele's replacement but he needs game time.

Barkley is only 23 with all the skills to be top pro. like you said poch improved players with half the talent, im very excited at what he can do with Barkley. No disrespect to Everton but Barkley will be around players at higher level than hes ever played with, also another Englishmen to keep our lions together

Football is fast approaching the tipping point in terms of fans and finances, yes you can fill a seventh or eighth of the stadium with corporates but many average fans are calling it a day and not just with match days look at Sky subs.
