is this Liverpool stuff relevant to Zaha because they're in for him "as well"? Sorry if I've missed something.

But they’ve also made some chunky purchases and my main point was I had seen previous financials that had their wage spending as close to 80% of their turnover which is totally unsustainable outside of oil billionaire clubs so I was curious as to what the new financials looked like. They have had s lot of windfalls

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha turns down £120,000-a-week contract amid interest from Tottenham, Everton and Borussia Dortmund
Eagles are desperate to keep the Ivory Coast winger but Zaha himself wants to test himself at another 'big club'
WILFRIED ZAHA has turned down a bumper new £120,000-a-week pay deal at Crystal Palace following interest from Tottenham, Everton and Borussia Dortmund.
Palace are now set to make their star player another improved contract offer - just 15 months after he signed a five-year deal worth around £100,000-a-week.
The Eagles are desperate to keep the Ivory Coast winger, but SunSport understands he might want to try himself at a “big club” again following his flop at Manchester United.
Zaha, 25, joined the Red Devils in a £15million switch in 2013.
But he spent less than half a season at Old Trafford before being loaned out to Cardiff.
He then returned to Palace on loan for the 2014-15 campaign before sealing a £6m permanent move back to Selhurst Park the following season.
Back in the bosom of his boyhood club, Zaha has rediscovered his confidence and his form to become one of the Premier League’s most exciting performers.
Spurs are leading the race to sign Zaha, but Palace have put a £70m price tag on him in a bid to stave off interest.
The Eagles are now believed to considering offering him an improved £135,000-a-week deal in an attempt to ensures he stays with them.
The south Londoners have the money after offloading £75,000-a-week off their wage bill by letting Yohan Cabaye join UAE outfit Nasr on a free transfer.
I think Zaha is excellent. One of most improved players in PL over last two seasons. Would offer real pace and threat behind Kane.
Do we know with any certainty (any media bollocks aside) that Poch is currently interested in Zaha?Pace without any football intelligence, no thanks. Concerns me that Poch is even interested in him.
Martial, makes sense as he has pace, finishing, intelligent movement and his potential is greater than Zaha.
Thing is, £70m fees in 2 years will seem a bargain, the market is always going to go up.
If structured, rather than an up front fee, then £70m fees should be possible for us.
I personally can’t see why, if Utd will pay £50m for Toby and we want £70m (same as Utd want for martial), we don’t agree to give them Toby plus say £10m or even £20m as Toby only cost us £11m.
Also solves the issue with Utd having to pay a % to Monaco for any fee over certain figures.
We really need new players in for start of pre-season as we always drop points at the start of the season and then play catch up.
How are palace able to afford offering a player 120k a week?
100% thisThose who think Zaha is all pace and nothing else can't have watched him properly this season. He has a lot of tricks in his bag and is great at working space for a cross or shot in tight areas just as much as having the pace and power to counter. Also got a fair bit of practice at centre forward too.
He outgrew Palace in all honesty this season. Seems he might have realised that. He matured and became their talisman, carrying them very often.
Even Pep rates him highly. Name dropped him in that post season MNF with Gary Neville.
I'd prefer Martial but Zaha would be a huge signing, and one 100% ready to go. Zaha would thrive alongside better quality players IMHO.
Yep, very!Do we know with any certainty (any media bollocks aside) that Poch is currently interested in Zaha?
If we go from Martial to Pulisic to Zaha - we are essentially the opposite of brave.
Zaha has pace. A lot of pace. Pace does not help much against teams that are camped in their own box. We don't play many matches where we have lacked pace.
We lack quickness and movement in tight spaces. But, we rarely look back at a match, and think: "We needed more pace in attack"
I don't see a lot of quick ball movement from Zaha. I see a player who can beat you down the flank, but not one who can unlock a packed defense on a regular basis.
If CP are looking for £60-70M, and we pass up Martial and Pulisic for similar amounts, we will regret it.
