Hammers fans waxing lyrical about the good old days at Upton Park ...

... Probably a better view from there than they now have at the taxpayers' stadium.

By the participants or by those after brownie points?
Initially by the participants (which I can sort of understand cos no one likes to be called a 'minger'.......yes, looking back with hindsight, I wasn't very subtle) but then I saw all sorts of random people get involved, including the high priests (AKA mods) and I came within a whisker of receiving the first of my 2 day bans!

Just agreed to extend the athletics track to 66k
What difference does it make if the fans are still going to be at least a mile from the pitch? You could literally be closer to the action watching in a bar across the pond then in the front row at the OS.

The fans won't be further from the pitch. They'll be exactly where they are now. The only thing that will change is that they'll have an extra 9,000 empty seats further from the pitch.

How do they get planning permission for a stadium they don't own? I remember my dad trying to get a conservatory built on our house years ago, and we owned the land, but the council said "fk off"
