A-Rod was on talksport talking about the baseball match they're playing at the OS...when asked if he thinks if it'll be hard to turn the pitch into a baseball pitch... he said it'll be easy as its not really a football stadium lol

With the local council, state aid its been near 300m West Ham have received. Now they're getting handouts from the premier league. The papers seem to turn a blind eye to all this yet rather concentrate on the wrong doings of PSG and Man City

It werent long ago West Ham were compensating Sheffield United 30m quid for irregularities
How more hasn’t been made of the handouts they have received is incredible and depressing.

The 66k is just PR spin will never happen. Apparently they have to spend £10m for it to happen on more toilets and cafes.

These are actually 6k seats deemed not good enough to be used in the first place!

They aren’t running 6k extra seats around the pitch, these will be the shitiest seats in the place, previously covered up because the view was so shit.

What’s the betting they never get used anyway! Their average attendance last season was barely 40k

Andy Carroll injured joke of a footballer.
West Ham fan was telling me the other day that Carroll played 90 minutes against Brentford and will now go on his annual 7 goals in 3 games spree before getting injured again.

I love the fact that they get so excited to see him back that in their heads they've elevated him to some sort of prolific goalscorer and not a goal every 4 games striker.

I've just been looking at the stats of the self proclaimed "15-20 goal a season man"...
33 premier league goals in six seasons
33 goals in all competitions in those six seasons. He's never scored a FA Cup or League Cup goal. Or in Europe.
He hasn't hit double figures since 2010/2011 - 11 for Newcastle.
Has only scored more than 15 once in his career - 19 in the championship for Newcastle in 2009/2010.

How do they get planning permission for a stadium they don't own? I remember my dad trying to get a conservatory built on our house years ago, and we owned the land, but the council said "fk off"

Your dad presumably didn't donate money to the council which was his first mistake

On Wikipedia's List of Stadiums they already have them as 66,000. Its more Bullshit from the board who need to have figures like this to justify themselves.

It's a sad thing in football that, as the powers of once great players start to wane, they suffer indignity and humiliation in the twilight of their careers.

Patrice Evra, however, has managed to reverse that trend. Here he is doing unspeakable things to a raw chicken on video, which, all things considered, is a decent step up from what he was doing six to nine months ago. Congrats, Patrice, on your successful career move.

"I love this game", says Patrice although, strictly speaking, it is, in fact, poultry.

Breaking News, as out of contract footballer, Patrice Evra is in hospital with salmonella after taking part in a moronic social media stunt. Sources close to the former Manchester United left back attribute his erratic behaviour to embarrassment suffered as a player. They were vehement in their claims that this has nothing to do with his lengthy ban at Marseille, but rather down to only being able to muster 5 appearances for a team that thinks a bubble machine at football matches for adults is a sound decision.

The only way 66k would ever possibly happen is if they reach our level and become a top 4 club. So basically it’s never happening. But obviously it’s something nice to chuck in the presentation for prospective buyers.

Evras defends his actions in light of criticism :

Guys, stop being boring and trying to put negativity on my Instagram and the vegan people, I don’t say anything when you eat all the grass in my garden.

“Leave it for birds, you eat everything including flowers! Please, stop being boring. I love this game!

“It was good, apparently I will get the salmonella. Maybe it’s someone from Italy?

Before they moved to there new council house there record attendance was in the region of 44k..notably against us.. There core support is genuine and loyal no taking that away from them but they only way there getting 66k is with a neutral type of fan who just wants to see a premiership football much to the dislike of the natives of Stratford Olympic fc ?! And to start selling tickets in fecking pound shop.

Some figures in here ..
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-stadium-mayor-retractable-seats-a7392056.htm

There was also the matter of selling the Boleyn for £40 million, which was flipped immediately for £60 million by a 3rd party. Nice earner on the side, no sentimentality lost there.

It's all been chatted in here before, massive win for West Ham as a club especially at owners level.

The latest moan coming from West Ham is that they can't compete with Man City's finding but by heck they did alright with the gifts they got. Little wonder they can pay players £120-150k per week (who really aren't all that good)
