Idk i think it all smells. Seems to me that the approach was made and reciprocated and has been leaked too the press which is why there all banging on about it even moreso even before todays match despite OGS just leading them to a 5-1 victory. Poch is a professional and will focus on the season but I think he’s gone.

On the Ally Gold football London site

Thank you, just found the bit you were referencing.

Can you give Spurs fans a present they want this Christmas and reassure them you will be here next season?

Simon Felstein: "Sorry, we've done this already. We're not going over this again. We've done it on Tuesday."

MP: "I think it’s fantastic to win the game and the fans are happy to start the Christmas period that way. They deserve everything. There’s a lot of rumour. I don’t want this guy {Simon} to become upset. We need to be focused on our job and try do our best to be successful."

Fuck sake poch! Man u win 5-1 against ashit team and maybe deflect talk of him taking over, but he went and got us to win 6-2.... You only had to go and win by 1!! :barefoot:

That's obvious that he wants to show he is the better manager and wants to be considered for the Manure job.:)

To be honest, I’m not a fan of Poch’s responses to being questioned about it.

Klopp is a dick but when he was asked about taking over at United back in 2013 he shot it down in an instant and reaffirmed his commitment to Dortmund.

All it takes is - ‘United is a great club but I’m not interested and I only want to manage Tottenham Hotspur for the next four years, that’s why I signed the contract’ or something like that.

We’ve heard the stuff he’s come out with about the United job a million times before and 999,999 times it ends with the manager or player going.

He's said he's happy and has 4 1/2 years left on his contract already and numerous times, what more do you want?

Watching Fanzone now and it was so infuriating seeing Leroy Rosenoir so adamant Poch is gonna leave comes end of the season for manure, if not Real, because they will always be a bigger club.

He said Poch is an ambitious man and his ambition could really only be realised at such big clubs who can back him with the funds he needs to form his ultimate team. Is kinda sad even pundits are talking more on money than passion..

Any other man could have been what he described. But somehow I just feel Poch is someone who relishes genuine relationships more than the superficial glitz and glamour. At Tottenham is where he wil have the connection and love. Ex players and ex mangers all know that.

I think he will leave only when he has won something here with us and/or Daniel sacks him.

Fuck salty spammers Leroy.

He also mentioned that opportunities at clubs like united & RM don’t come often. Someone should remind him how many mgrs have been at both those clubs during Poch’s 4.5 year spell with us.

Klopp left there after he had done all he could and he was actually struggling.

The time I’m talking about was when he was flying with them and he made it clear he wasn’t going United or anywhere when asked.

Poch is non-commital when asked and offers up pretty weak responses. I’ll be very disappointed if he goes and I won’t have anytime for him whatsoever if that does happen.

All the hype about Poch etc will only intensify as the season goes on. The best way to nip it in the bud is to basically say ‘thanks but not interested’

Great interview for BBC

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46668700

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino praises his side's "fantastic" 6-2 Premier League win at Everton, and says Spurs "are there" when it comes to challenging Liverpool and Manchester City for the title.

LOL - "All day I am thinking of an anniversary gift for my wife ... And this is it!"

26 year anniversary - 2-6 scoreline

Don't see the media bringing up these quotes from 2016 much

https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/pochettino-eyes-ferguson-legacy-tottenham

And when asked if he wanted to be to Tottenham what Ferguson was to United, Pochettino did not hesitate.

"Why not? Sir Alex Ferguson is a very special person," Pochettino said.

"He was given the security to build his legacy at Manchester United. I believe we are special too and we can build it here together.

"This club is special. I feel the love from the beginning, from the very first day. I am very happy to be here to hopefully achieve big things.

"I think the potential is fantastic, with the new stadium. I think the club is coming to a very tough period because we are building a new stadium and we may focus sometimes on that, but at the same time it is very exciting."
