I’d hate to see Poch go but I don’t think he’s irreplaceable.levy now knows Yates types manager that would be successful at Spurs and I’m sure there are some out there who could reproduce Poch’s efforts. Hope it doesn’t come to that, obviously.

Poch has a passion for the club & changed the whole culture & mentality from the grassroots up since he got here.
He's essentially redefined "Spursy" in a matter of a few years which says a great deal.
Hard to replace someone like that but not irreplaceable.

Erik Ten Haag did similar to rejuvenate Ajax.
I also like the way they played.
Plenty of youth, skill & determination.
He could possibly do a job here.

And in no way am I wishing for a switch at this time. Just saying.

I love how JJ clearly says something positive, yet we find a way to spin it across the spectrum.

I doubt he would be saying "you will see" if it wasn't a good thing. JJ has been very open when it comes to bad news, its usually the good news he doesn't want to give away so openly.

Just my 2c and observation of how he usually keeps us in the loop of what goes on behind the scenes.

I dont think there is any revisionism. Fans understand what a class player he can be. But for one or reason or other he hasn't hit his own peak this season. This is also true for likes of Dele, Kane. But you wont find anyone questioning their role in squad but only Eriksen. The willingness to let go of Eriksen, is entirely down to his contract situation. This is coping mechanism at play from most fans. And I dont think there is anything wrong with that.

This is exactly like Bale situation. It is not about replacing Eriksen like for like. Eriksen brings us creativity & class. If we can get the same from another style of player, then so be it. Instead of spraying money on 5 or 6 players, we have to look for a replacement/upgrade at max 2 high quality players (just like Liverpool did last season)

We need to be careful with bringing in a lot of new players. Look what happened after Bale. We cannot change the style of play overnight.

We must still obtain a top four finish next year.

Ideally I hope we keep Eriksen and bring in the new players previously mentioned.

Most importantly we must get the new players in early so that they get a full pre-season with Poch and his team.

Hopefully all the ITK which has been reported to have been held back until after the final will be positive news to add to that of JJ’s .

Would be a very smart move given the build up to the final. Any transfer news or leaks would just detract from that monumental moment for our club. I suspect we will see a good few updates in the next few days.

Also to all you cheap bastards who haven't made any pledges for the window, please see the sticky'd thread in the transfer forum if you would like to open the wallet strings a little to support the site. Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated.
