So many great available left backs out there?
Don't really know, but it's not peak Danny Rose we'd be replacing here.
Trying to take emotional attachment out of the equation, we're looking at a (soon to be) 29 year old left back that very much lives off his athleticism and has had injury problems in later seasons. And even when fit, he's quite a bit off what he did at his peak.
Two years left of his current deal. From our perspective, maybe we can keep him another season and have him, Davies and Sessegnon (hopefully) rotating. But I think this summer is his last chance of getting that final decent contract, and I doubt we'll be jumping at the chance of potentially having a 32-33 year old Danny Rose on our books by offering him an extension.
