Translated: Several clubs continue to discuss with OL about Tanguy Ndombélé (Tottenham, ManU, Juventus). Disagree at the moment. The player takes the time to think. #Mercato@telefoot_TF1

I believe it will be NDombele or Lo Celsco and not both. Just onions. Depends on who we do the deal with first.

They are different players not sure why you would say that. Lo Celsco is the new Grealish type player which Poch wanted last summer and NDombele the replacement for Dembele in my view... wages will be freed up by players leaving and so will squad places. Money and from Champions league run and outgoings alone should give us £100m plus unspent budget from last two windows another £50

I've lost hope in us getting him over the past week or so. There'll be bigger clubs who can spend more driving the price up, and levy and aulus are miles apart already. We'll probably end up with less well-known players in cm because I reckon lo Celso will stay in Spain too. It's been the standard for too long to have any faith that it will happen for us this season. I more than hope that I'm wrong of course

Jesus - the transfer window really isn't good for mental health is it?

I think CE will have a bearing on this. If he stays there will be one player in and most likely Ndombélé.

If Toby and Eriksen stay I will be surprised if we have more then one big purchase.

I suspect we will be looking for a Kane back up its the rest of the money. More likely Sess cause he is cheap.

Can’t see a RB coming in either.

Why no RB?

The rumours suggest one or both of Trippier and Aurier out, and neither has made the grade this past season anyway.

Is it just that you’ve lost heart, or is there a footballing reason?

We haven't really been linked seriously to an RB, but we've seen plenty of Trippier-to-Italy links and I don't see us selling him without getting a replacement. Unless Poch really trusts in KWP, which so far didn't seem to be the case.

As for Lo Celso, it says "Eriksen replacement" all over it. Don't see us spending that much on him if Chris stays, which is actually my preferred option as I'll take Eriksen over Lo Celso easily. Hopefully we have a cheaper backup playmaker option, as Chris needs to rest more, but we won't be spending 70m on a rotation player.

Ndombele seems like a priority signing regardless of anything, but it's not going to be easy. He's in very high demand and Aulas knows it, he'll want to get a bidding war going, and the player will also have to prefer us over other options. Not impossible, but I really hope we have a good backup option (maybe Van De Beek) if we doesn't pull it off, because we absolutely need another CM.

Also I'm really tired of all the Levy-blaming here. He's going on extremely early and aggressively for Ndbombele. If Aulas is biding his time to get a bidding war, or if the player chooses to move elsewhere, that's not really Levy's fault.

If we do sign him, I’m not 100% sure of the surname pronunciation but if you’re thinking of shoe horning it in to another Dembele\ Sissoko song... Don’t! Yes YOU! don’t fucking do it!
It would go well with the Zokora song.

Why is it that EVERY SINGLE player that we “just miss out on” is because we offer these ridiculous low first offers expecting a discount on top players? Lyon want €75m so why isn’t our first offer €65m? It’s almost like we insult them by our low first offers and they become more determined to get the absolute last penny from us in each deal as a result of it.
Real Madrid just paid €60m for Jovic - a very highly-rated young striker, who has proven himself in the Bundesliga and Europa League (10 goals in 14 games and named in UEFA's team of the tournament), and for his national team. Strikers tend to be more expensive than other positions, so why should our initial offer for Ndombele be €5m higher than Jovic's fee?

For what it's worth (not a lot) the way the media is reporting this is identical to the Sanchez deal, we got wind of it, we heard talks then loads of these twitter accounts started making up agreements with Barca and then how he was choosing between Barca/Madrid and us and then we eventually got him. It is following the exact same pattern of information being thrown out.

Take all ITK with a pinch of salt regardless of who it comes from.

Whether you choose to believe it and allow your mind to roam is up to you.

In this case my mind has been roaming for almost a year.
