Bale.

Madrid are not budging one bit. There have been numerous enquiries for him but the numbers just don't add up. No one is going to come close to the money needed imo, and as things stand he'll still be a Madrid player next season.

Cheers for the info Trix.

I wouldn’t have expected Madrid to budge at the moment. We’ll see at the end of the window just how much they want to get rid of him. We should focus on our other business first, then make a move right at the end, of we can find a financial viable package.

Bale coming home could be game changing.

Not surprised that Madrid aren’t budging right now. If they are serious about moving him on, they’ll have to compromise.

They won’t blink until they have to, IMO. Plenty of time left for Bale to change his mind or an oligarch to have a brain fart. It could easily be VDV territory.

Cheers Trix,
have to say Bale will be a hard signing for anyone to make, maybe later in the window after they are finished their buying they will have to look at the numbers again and take a big hit to get him off the books by selling or loaning out.

There's so much time until the deadline the Bale situation is just an impasse.

Once the deadline is in sight then the leverage to negotiate becomes more powerful.

Impossible to predict at the moment, but it's a game of poker that only really gets going very late on in the window.

I said a few months ago that this summer ‘all eyes point to RM’ or similar. We would ideally like one out of two of their players as a package deal, and one being Asensio. And there is another youngster we would like, and his name I am not sure of. So those believing ‘if’ we sign GLC, we wouldn’t replace CE (if he leaves) are far off the mark!

This is NOT opinion ;)

It’s imperative that we bring in Lo Celso and one other if Eriksen leaves. Even with extra creativity we still lacked a killer instinct last season... we need another match winner. Bale looks like a no go therefore we need an alternative.

This is really welcome news, as I was worried.

NDombele is seen as replacing Dembele. With that in mind, we wanted another creative midfielder to compliment CE. The rest, you can do the maths. If we only achieve MDombele and CE, please do not shoot me (Yikes).

If we could do a player cash deal with RM For Asensio and give them CE, and then get Lo Celso that would be excellent business

I'm not surprised. His wages are ridiculous, before anyone even thinks about the transfer fee. Other than United (if they were to let Pogba go to Real), I just can't see anyone signing him.

Even more ridiculous than his wages is the fact that Zidane doesn't rate him!

That’s the dream, Lo Celso plus another really decent player (or Eriksen staying on)

IMO Asensio would be an even bigger signing and statement of intent than Ndombele, Madrid would be nuts to let him go easily!
