Basic summary: we're close to a deal for GLC, we've offered a deal worth 68m euros, they want 75m, but then the story talks about levy, first signing Tanguy, and then saying levy is "involved with the signing of u21 international european champion Dani Olmo."

Anyone know anything about this player?

I think it's been implied all summer that this would be a goer at 60M

I assumed we'd go for the Ceballos loan first and then Lo Celso if Eriksen went, now it's probably the other way around (which is ideal as I prefer GLC). Levy backing Poch big time if it happens.

That said if there was ever a time for the club to spend it's probably now, wages will take a while to catch up with our revenue growth so there should be decent scope for transfer instalments.

Even more so if naming rights are close and will cover a big chunk of the annual stadium repayments.

Interesting that Pini Zahavi is allegedly involved in this deal ...was very pivotal in getting Ndombele over the line

Pinch of salt and all that - I’d be amazed if we spunked another £60m 3 days after TNd - esp when there’s ITK of CE perhaps staying. Would be truly stunning if we really did - getting quality business done early. All the squad would truly need to improve on the first XI would be a RB - anything else (Sess) is really a bonus (barring no one else crucial goes - e.g. Toby)

we dont spunk 60 mill,

if its a 6 year deal its only 10 mill and its not like we dont have that sort of cash

Remember us being involved with him a few windows ago. One of those catch 22s

10 mill a year over 6 years, or what ever the terms of the agreement

The amortisation in our accounts would be £10m a year. But the payment plan between the 2 clubs could be anything. It might be £60m up front.

Amortisation costs and staged payments to the selling club for the transfer fee are not the same thing.

Never said they were, just said we dont necessarily have to pay 60 mill up front

How long have you known Levy ?
