For anyone else who might be thinking of doing the same, Ikea worked well for us today - fairly easy access in and out, with a 25 minute slow walk each way. It was of course an early kick off on a Saturday so buyer beware but it worked well for us today.Aiming to take my son tomorrow after a ticket became available. Will therefore be driving to the game (rather than getting the train and staying for the Neck Oil after!!!!) from Stevenage - any tips on parking? Am thinking about driving to Cheshunt and then getting the train down to either WHL or Northumberland PK. Does anyone know if street parking is an option near the station - Delamare Road was mentioned as a possibility?
Alternatively, I saw someone mention Ikea at Edmonton earlier in the thread - is it viable to park there and then walk or are there match day restrictions?

You must be a slow walker. 20 mins max it took me yesterdayIt's 1.3 miles for the stadium and took me nearer 30 minutes to get there

Do they not have a parking time limit? Any chance barriers come down at 10pm?15 mins. Just look for the huge spaceship looking thing and head towards it ?
Engineering works are basically every weekend so bound to affect football unfortunately. We view it as adversely affecting large numbers of people but, relative to weekday commuter numbers, we're insignificant.Am I the only one that thinks that when TFL or rail companies need a days work that needs station closures for one day they choose the day that spurs are at home of all the times and dates available .
It has happened so many times that seven sisters and white hart lane stations are closed on spurs match days that I am feeling paranoid and even our first friendly at home is affected with WHL station closed for Sundays friendly. Weird or unlucky or planned make your own mind up.
Not gonna happen I'm afraid. They weren't that interested in an extension to begin with because it makes the Victoria Line much more burdensome to operate if you add a brance, risking issues and delays across the whole line. The silver lining is that they're definitely not interested now because eventually Crossrail 2 will come to Tottenham, providing a huge capacity boost, and making a Viccy extension near-redundant only a few years after it'd have been built.
