Stab in the dark? Thought he/Ajax were deep into it with Real a couple of days ago.

Isn't he far more like 'Dele' than Lo Celso or Fernandes ? In which case, he wouldn't be an alternative to those two.

Let’s see:
- club who don’t have to sell (check)
- valuation probably 30-40M apart (check)
- less than 100 hours left in window (check)

Story sounds quite accurate to me. Seems to be our sweet spot.

At this point it's hard to tell if we've actually got a scatter-gun approach to our transfer targets, or if we're just an easy target for the press to link us with every man and his dog. I really hope it's not the former, but it does feel like one of those windows where we're going to be rushing around on deadline day trying to sign our 3rd, 4th or 5th choice targets for a position. Never change, Spurs, never change*

*but seriously, please fucking change.

Ah the end of transfer window panic scatter gun approach has begun! Que rumours of Levy going Europe with wheelbarrrow full of cash... and then the inevitable well we did try and sign all these players but the all their clubs are just so hard to deal with..

But at least Daniel really really did try his hardest to sign these players it shows that he does have right idea and ambitions to take the club forward

I think of all the Ajax lot who’s true ability was boosted most by the team, it’s probably Donny. Real can have him imo
I'd say it's probably the other way round. He weaves attack and defense so effectively and subtly. For me he is super underrated.

I don't think so. Ultimately, he moves the ball very quickly into other offensive players. For me could defintetly fill an eriksen shaped hole.

There is a reason Madrid are after him, and not say Lo Celso or Fernandes.

REAL CLOSE IN ON VAN DE BEEK

Real Madrid, who have prioritised central midfield as a position to strengthen, are on the verge of signing Donny van de Beek from Ajax.

The player admitted talks between the two clubs at the weekend and it’s thought a deal worth between £55m-£60m is close to being completed.

Earlier we told you United have rejected a bid from Real Madrid for Paul Pogba in an offer which included the sale of James Rodriguez, according to Sky sources.

So they favour DVDB over CE?

Fuck’s sake, Eriksen- see your career out with people who actually want you

Thought he was off to Real Madrid but maybe we are exploring alternatives to the other two.

With his work rate and stamina I think he'd be a very good Poch player at the absolute worst.

Probably Lamela without the injuries would be his floor.
